  1. Why am I seeing the word ‘Analogue’ on the Free-to-air channels?
    This is part of Mediacorp’s effort to encourage Singaporeans who are still on the Analogue platform to swap to Digital TV. If you are watching Free-to-air channels using StarHub TV set-top boxes, you are already on Digital TV. As such, you can ignore the Analogue watermark.     If you are watching Free-to-air channels by plugging directly to StarHub’s cable point, you are still on the Analogue platform and will need to swap to Digital TV to continue watching the Free-toair channels upon the cessation of the Analogue platform. You may want to sign up to a StarHub TV plan to start enjoying the benefits of Digital TV and be entertained by programmes available on over 200 StarHub TV channels.   2. I am a new customer. How will this affect me?
    All StarHub TV customers are already on Digital TV. You will not be affected by the cessation of the Analogue platform.

  3. I am currently on a non-HD set top box, what do I do to continue watching the Free-to-air TV channels?
    All StarHub TV customers, including those who are still using non-HD set top boxes, are already on Digital TV. You may want to swap your SD set-top box to a HD set-top box to enjoy crystal clear images, incredibly vivid colours and cinematic sound quality. To swap your SD set-top box, book an e-appointment at your preferred StarHub Shop now.

  4. What are the benefits of using a HD set-top box?
    HDTV (High Definition TV) offers at least 4 times greater details than SDTV (Standard Definition TV). You will experience clearer images, more vivid colours with better sound quality. Plus, you will also get to access channels that are only available in HD under your subscription plan. Here is a list of channels on StarHub TV that are only available in HD.

  1. I refuse to change my set-top box to HD. What will happen next?
    You will still be able to continue watching StarHub channels and Free-to-air channels in SD (Standard Definition).
  2. I am using a HubStation now, will I still be able to record the programmes after upgrading to a HD set-top box?
    Samsung HDi set-top box does not have an in-built recorder. You will still be able to record your programmes by plugging in a Western Digital external hard disk and subscribe to the Smart TV VAS at $4.28/mth.
  3. How do I change my set-top box to a HD set-top box?
    You can book an e-appointment at selected StarHub Shops to swap your SD set-top box to a HD set-top box.
