Early Termination Charges (ETC)

1
What are early termination charges (ETC)?

Early termination charges (ETC) are applied when you cancel your services within the minimum service period/contract period.

2
What services have early termination charges?

In general, early termination charges apply to services with a contract such as our mobile, broadband, and TV plans. Some value-added services/add-ons also have ETC.

If you’re planning to cancel any service, it’s best to check if you’re still in contract and if the service you’re terminating has ETC.

3
How do I compute early termination charges?

Early termination charges are tiered according to the number of months left in your contract at the point of your termination request. They also vary according to the subscription fees.

For instance, when it comes to mobile plans, ETC is calculated by the Net Monthly Subscription (after any monthly subscription discount or CIS discount) multiplied by the remaining contract period in months.

Below is a sample calculation that applies for the following mobile plans:

• Mobile+ $69, $99, $129, $169 2-Year Plan

• Mobile+ $38, $45 SIM Only 1-Year Plan

• 4G $25 SIM Only 1-Year Plan

• #hellochange $45, $55, $80, $110, $243 2-Year Plan

Example

$69 2-year Plan

With 12 months remaining in the contract

Consumer Offer (incl. GST)

$70.29 x 12 months = $843.48

CIS Offer (incl. GST)

$63.26 (after 10% CIS discount) x 12 months = $759.12
