Its purpose is to pre-emptively block unwanted international calls before they can reach your devices, providing you with a more secure and hassle-free communication experience.

What is the cost of Block Overseas Calls?

The fees for Block Overseas Calls have been waived for a limited time. You can now enjoy all the benefits without any charges!

Is there a minimum contract period?

You can opt-in or opt out of this service at any time, as per your convenience and preference, except when your current request is still being processed.

How do I activate the blocking service on my phone?

Here's how you can activate Block Overseas Calls service:

  1. Log in to your StarHub App.

  2. Tap on "Home" or "Shop" icon.

  3. Select "SafeHub+" option.

  4. Go to "Cyber Security" and click "Block Overseas Calls".

  5. Choose the mobile number(s) you want to activate the service for and click "Confirm" to proceed.

Will I be notified of blocked calls?

If you have activated the Block Overseas Calls service, the calls will be blocked before reaching your device, so you will not receive any notifications about blocked calls.

Is the Block Overseas Calls service available for both Android and iOS devices?

The Block Overseas Calls service is not restricted by the type of device you use as it is tied to your number/voice plan.

Can I use the Block Overseas Calls service while roaming internationally?

No worries! Even when you're travelling overseas, you can still take advantage of our Block Overseas Calls service. Stay in control of your calls wherever you go!

Can I select specific countries to block call from?

Unfortunately, you can't select specific countries to block with this service.

This Block Overseas Calls service will block all incoming calls from countries worldwide, except Singapore.

What happens if I change my number or transfer the ownership to another person?

In the event of a change of number or if your number has been transferred to another individual, the service will be terminated. However, you can re-subscribe to the service under your new number.

What happens if I have enabled call forwarding to another number?

It depends on the number you are forwarding the call to! If the number has opted-in for "Block Overseas Call", it won't receive the call. However, if the service is not opted-in, the call will be forwarded as usual.

How do I opt-out or unsubscribe to Block Overseas Calls?

Here's how you can deactivate Block Overseas Calls service:

  1. Log in to your StarHub App.

  2. Tap on "Home" or "Shop" icon.

  3. Select "SafeHub+" option.

  4. Go to "Cyber Security" and click "Block Overseas Calls".

  5. Choose the mobile number(s) you want to deactivate the service for and click "Confirm" to proceed.

How long will it take for my service to activate or deactivate?

Your Block Overseas Calls service will be activated or deactivated within 24 hours of successfully submitting your request.
