Free-to-air channels on Analogue platform
If you are currently watching free-to-air channels by plugging directly into StarHub’s cable point, you are still on the Analogue platform and will need to swap to Digital TV to continue watching free-to-air channels. You may have already noticed that the word “Analogue” is currently shown in the top right corner of your screen and the image has become smaller on free-to-air channels. This is part of Mediacorp’s cessation of free-to-air channels on the Analogue platform.
To enjoy the benefits of Digital TV and over 200 StarHub TV channels, you may want to sign up to a StarHub TV plan.
If you are watching free-to-air channels using StarHub TV set-top boxes, you are already on Digital TV. Your TV viewing will not be affected at all. For more information, visit the Mediacorp website or call 6435 6288.
The following will no longer be offered with the cessation of the Analogue platform.

- Free-to-air radio channels on Analogue platform
- Free Preview channel on Analogue platform
- Hub Sports Arena on Analogue platform
As part of the Analogue platform cessation exercise, customers who are on Standard Definition boxes will no longer receive subtitles on all free-to-air channels with effect from 4 June 2018.
The Samsung HDi set-top box does not come with an in-built recording function. To continue to record your programmes, you will need to purchase an external Western Digital external hard disk and subscribe to the Smart TV VAS at $4.28/month. Find out more about recording.
TV sets that are connected directly to the StarHub cable point (i.e. not to a set-top box) will no longer be able to watch the free-to-air channels after 1 Jan 2019.

TV1 on Analogue platform
TV1 on the Analogue platform will be ceased on 1 Jan 2019 as part of the overall effort for all TV broadcasts to go Digital. To continue watching TV1, you may want to sign up to a StarHub TV plan to enjoy the benefits of Digital TV and over 200 StarHub TV channels.
All StarHub TV customers are already on Digital TV. You will not be affected by the cessation of TV1 on the Analogue platform.
Free-to-air radio channels on Analogue platform
Free-to-air radio channels on StarHub’s cable platform will be ceased on 1 January 2019. This means that you will no longer be able to receive the radio signal through the FM outlet via StarHub’s cable point.
Free-to-air radio is not part of StarHub’s service offering. Hence, we are unable to advise on alternatives to receive free-to-air radio channels.
Free-to-air radio channels on StarHub’s cable platform will be ceased on 1 January. This means that you will no longer be able to receive the radio signal through the FM outlet via StarHub’s cable point. Listeners who wish to continue listening to their FM stations, may do so by using an FM antenna with the existing FM radio.
The free-to-air radio signal is not part of StarHub’s service offering so there will be no replacement and/or compensation.
Free Preview channel on the Analogue platform
The Free Preview channel on the Analogue platform will be ceased on 1 Jan 2019 as part of the overall effort for all TV broadcasts to go Digital.
Unfortunately, there will be no replacement for this channel.
All StarHub TV customers are already on Digital TV, so you will not be affected by this cessation. You can continue to enjoy the Free Preview channel (Ch 101).
Cessation of Hub Sports Arena
We are discontinuing Hub Sports Arena (Ch 112 / Ch 205) as part of our ongoing efforts to review our Sports content offerings. Hub Sports Arena (Ch 112 / Ch 205) will cease transmission on StarHub TV on 28 December 2018.
Hub Sports Arena has always been a Freeview channel, so there will be no changes to your subscription with its cessation.
Hub Sports Arena will no longer be available from 28 December 2018, so all StarHub TV customers will no longer be able to watch this channel.
Action Sports World 2018 Episode 46 (11am-12pm) will be the last programme shown on Hub Sports Arena.
