Cessation of low tier Cable Broadband plans

  1. What is StarHub doing?
    StarHub has decided to discontinue its entry-level cable home broadband plans with download bandwidths ranging from 3Mbps to 50Mbps. We are progressively reaching out to these customers whose contracts are expiring or have expired with early re-contract offers to facilitate a smooth transition towards faster fibre or cable home broadband services when their existing contracts come to an end. Our entry-level home broadband plans now offer 100Mbps bandwidth.

  2. Why is StarHub discontinuing the entry-level cable home broadband plans?
    Internet connection speeds around the world have risen due to the growing demand for bandwidth intensive content. As such, we have decided to simplify our broadband service offerings and are guiding customers to come onboard the latest home broadband services, which offer faster surfing speeds and more comprehensive Wi-Fi coverage at greater value.

  3. Can I stay on my existing cable home broadband plan?
    Your cable home broadband service will be automatically provided at 100Mbps at the prevailing price of $49.90/month after the end of your existing contract (if applicable). In the meantime, you can continue on your existing cable home broadband plan with no change to your monthly subscription and bandwidth.   4. Dual Broadband 200 does not fit my needs. What are the alternatives?
    Other than Dual Broadband 200, we have other home broadband plans available for your consideration. We have 1Gbps Fibre broadband, Dual broadband 500, 1000 and 100Mbps cable broadband. You may check here for all the promotions we have today.

  5. Nothing that you have offered works for me. What will happen then?
    Your existing cable home broadband plan is no longer available for sign up or contract renewal. After the end of your existing contract, your current cable home broadband plan will be automatically upgraded to 100Mbps at the prevailing price of $49.90/month.   6. I want to upgrade to 100Mbps cable home broadband now. Possible? What will you offer me?
    Yes, you will be receiving a free you will be receiving a free Voice-enabled Cable Modem (VeCM3) worth $212.93 when you sign up with a 24-month contract.

  7. Can my existing equipment handle Dual Broadband 200 and 100Mbps cable home broadband? If not, how will you help me?
    When you sign up for Dual Broadband 200, you are eligible to get a free cable modem that supports speeds of up to 100Mbps cable broadband. To enjoy fibre broadband, you can purchase a Wireless AC Dual-band Router DIR-868L at only $120 at point of sign-up. 

  8. I want to terminate my existing cable home broadband service and do not want to pay for the Early Termination Charge.
    You can choose to continue on your existing cable home broadband plan. There will be no change to your monthly subscription and subscribed bandwidth till the end of your existing contract. If you choose to terminate your existing contract prematurely, the prevailing Early Termination Charge will apply.

  9. How would my bill look like after the migration?
