What is NumberShare?

NumberShare is a monthly add-on service that allows you to share your mobile line's talktime and data with your cellular-enabled smartwatch.

With NumberShare, you can make and receive calls, use apps, and stay connected on your smartwatch using the same mobile number, even when your phone is not nearby.

Who can sign up for NumberShare?

StarHub postpaid mobile customers subscribed to any of the below mobile plans can sign up for NumberShare service.

Can I subscribe to NumberShare if I am on a StarHub Prepaid card?

No, NumberShare is only available to postpaid mobile services, Star Plan and 5G Unlimited+ Plans.

What do I need to sign up for this NumberShare service?

To get started with NumberShare, you'll need an eligible StarHub mobile plan, along with a compatible cellular-enabled smartwatch and a supported smartphone for setup and pairing.

Which phone and cellular watch models are eligible for NumberShare?

Update your existing mobile device or recontract to get the latest device!

For Samsung Galaxy Watch LTE/Active2 LTE, you can sign up if your Samsung and Android mobile device is installed with Android OS 6.0 or later with RAM 1.5GB and above.

For Apple Watch, you’ll need iPhone with iOS 12.2 or later installed, Carrier setting updated to StarHub 36.1 and Apple Watch with WatchOS 5.2. If you've upgraded your Apple Watch to WatchOS6.0 or use Apple Watch Series 4, you'll need iPhone with iOS 13 installed.  

To check carrier setting for iPhone, go to "Settings > General > About".

How much do I have to pay for NumberShare?

A NumberShare subscription is $8.15/month, but your first 3 months are FREE! Upon sign-up, you only need to pay a one-time charge (OTC) of $12.11. The OTC also applies to the reactivation of a previous NumberShare subscription. We got you.

How can I subscribe to NumberShare?

Why do I need to enter my NRIC when I sign up for NumberShare?

NRIC registration is necessary to ensure you are the account holder of the mobile line and to prevent any wrongful sign ups.

Am I tied to any contract when I subscribe to NumberShare?

There is no contract for this service.


Subscription and Deactivation

Can I subscribe to NumberShare to share the voice mins, data with other devices?

NumberShare works only on compatible cellular watches and cannot be used on other devices.

Can I subscribe NumberShare service at StarHub Shops or StarHub Online Store?

No, you can only subscribe NumberShare service through the relevant app. For Samsung Galaxy Watch/Active2, subscribe via Galaxy Wearable app. For Apple Watch, subscribe via Apple Watch app.

Can I subscribe to multiple NumberShare accounts under the same mobile number?

No, only one mobile number can be linked to one NumberShare account.

Can I subscribe to NumberShare on a cellular watch which is not purchased in Singapore?

We recommend purchasing your cellular watch or handset in Singapore to ensure full compatibility with the NumberShare service.

I'm having activation issues with NumberShare and my device, how do I fix it?

We understand it can be frustrating to run into activation issues with your NumberShare service. Our HubCare team can help get this sorted—just reach out to us via the StarHub app, Facebook or WhatsApp, and we'll assist you from there.

I want to stop using NumberShare. What should I do?

For customers with 5G Unlimited+/Platinum plans, removing NumberShare via StarHub app is currently unavailable. We understand this adds an extra step, but here is what we can do next: please head over to our "Contact Us" page to get in touch with our HubCare team. We’re on it and will take care of this for you. 

For customers with other eligible mobile plans, you can stop NumberShare via StarHub app. Simply follow these steps:

  • Log in
  • Tap on "Mobile", and under the "Local" tab, look for "Other add-ons". Tap the "Manage" button.
  • Search for NumberShare VAS and tap the "Remove" button.
  • Tap "Submit" on the Review page.

You'll receive an SMS confirmation once your request has been completed.

Remember to clear any overdue balance before deactivating NumberShare. Also, if you stop NumberShare in the middle of your billing cycle, charges will be pro-rated to the date of cancellation. Subsequent usage will be deducted from any data/talktime add-ons, followed by data/talktime from your main plan.

What happens to my free 1GB data and 50 minutes when I terminate NumberShare?

You will not be able to use the balance of the free 1GB and 50 minutes once your Numbershare service has been terminated. Any subsequent usage will be depleted from any of your data/talktime add-ons, followed by the data/talktime quota from your main plan.


Using NumberShare

How does the free 1GB and 50 minutes work?

The 1GB data and 50 minutes can be shared between your mobile line and your cellular watch. The data cannot be shared with any other dependent lines.

Can I send or receive SMS/MMS on my watch with NumberShare?

SMS feature is device dependent. On the Samsung Galaxy Watch LTE/Active2 LTE, this feature is supported by signing up for the Samsung Account on your Galaxy Wearable App. For Apple Watch, you can only receive iMessage. You can continue to send and receive SMS/MMS on your mobile phone.

How do I know when my cellular watch is connected in cellular mode?

For Samsung Galaxy Watch: 

Swipe down from the top to bottom of the Samsung Galaxy Watch/Active2 menu and you should see "4G", "VoLTE" and "Standalone StarHub" or "Remote-connected StarHub".


For Apple Watch: 

If the cellular button turns green, it means your Apple Watch is connected to the StarHub network. If the cellular button is white when your StarHub network is active, your watch is connected to your iPhone using Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.

What can I do if I'm unable to get mobile connectivity on my cellular watch?

You should have successfully signed up for NumberShare if you have received an SMS from us.

Please check if the NumberShare service is available on your watch to enjoy mobile connectivity.


On the Samsung Galaxy Watch/Active2, follow the steps below:

  1. At the Galaxy watch main menu, scroll down to "Select settings".
  2. Under Settings, select "Connections".
  3. Under Connections, select "Mobile networks".
  4. Tap on "Starhub-XXXF" (e.g., Starhub-983F) to turn on StarHub network manually. Your watch should restart automatically.


For Apple watch, follow the steps below:

  1. Ensure your watch is not paired to your phone by turning off Bluetooth.
  2. Press the digital crown to view the apps screen.
  3. Tap on the "Settings" app.
  4. Tap "Mobile Data", under "PLAN", it should show "StarHub", under "STATUS", it should show "Connected".
  5. Return to the "Settings" menu, tap "General" then tap "About".
  6. Scroll down to "ICCID" to check if there is a long string of numbers.
  7. Please ensure you do not "Remove StarHub Plan" during any process of pairing, as this will cause the loss in cellular connectivity.

Once these steps are completed, your network will be fully restored and you’re good to go. We got you.

Can I use the cellular features on my watch while roaming overseas?

This NumberShare service only works locally. If you are roaming overseas, the cellular feature of the watch is not available. You can still use your watch within Bluetooth proximity.

Will my NumberShare service be affected if I change my mobile number or SIM card?

Yes. If you change either your mobile number or SIM card, you will need to terminate your existing NumberShare service via the StarHub app and then re-subscribe to the service.

A one-time subscription fee of $12.11 will apply upon re-subscription.

I've accidentally deleted my StarHub plan on my watch, what should I do?

If you’ve accidentally removed your StarHub plan from your watch, you can get it set up again. No worries! We'll get this sorted for you.

Simply terminate your current NumberShare subscription via the StarHub app, then re-subscribe to restore the service on your device.

A one-time fee of $12.11 will apply upon resubscription.

This will get your NumberShare service back up and running on your watch.

What will happen to my NumberShare service if I change or upgrade my phone/watch?

If you change or upgrade your phone or smartwatch, your existing NumberShare service will not automatically transfer to the new device.

You will need to:

  • Terminate your current NumberShare subscription via the StarHub app.
  • Set up and re-subscribe to NumberShare on your new watch.

Please note that a one-time charge of $12.11 will apply upon resubscription.

Can I still use NumberShare if I am switching to a newer model smartwatch and phone?

What happens to the NumberShare service if I transfer my mobile line to another party?

NumberShare is not transferable. Please terminate your current NumberShare through StarHub app then resubscribe to the service after the transfer of ownership has been completed. A one-time charge of $12.11 applies upon resubscription.
