I’m eligible for Disney+ access, how do I activate it?

You can start activating your Disney+ bundled access via My StarHub App. Once you have activated, you can start streaming on Disney+. Refer to our step-by-step activation guide here.


How do I access Disney+?

You can access Disney+ via Mobile App, PC Web Browsers, Android TV devices, Apple TV (4th Gen), selected Smart TVs models and Gaming Consoles. Refer to list of supported devices here.


Disney+ is also available on the StarHub TV+ box. Please ensure your StarHub TV+ box is updated to the latest firmware version (1.2.1). This software update will be automatically pushed to your StarHub TV+ box progressively from 23 February 2021 onwards. Alternatively, you may check for system update via the following steps: Go to Android TV Settings > Device Preferences > About > System update > Check for update.


Will data charges apply when I stream Disney+ on my mobile devices?

Your data bundle will be deducted/charged accordingly when accessing Disney+. A friendly tip: use your home Wi-Fi to stream to avoid data bill shock, or you can download your favorite shows onto your mobile devices to watch on-the-go without an Internet connection.  


What can I enjoy in this promotion?

Customers who subscribe to Disney+ as an Add-on service can enjoy the first 2 months on us! The monthly recurring fee of $11.98/month will apply from the 3rd month onwards. In total, you get to save $23.96.


Do note that a 6-month commitment applies and there will be an Early Termination Charge (ETC) if you terminate within the 6-month commitment period. The ETC is based on monthly recurring charge x remaining months.

If you are already subscribed to one of the eligible services, your Disney+ bundled access period will start on 23 February 2021 once Disney+ is launched, or from the date the StarHub Service is activated, whichever is the later

You can easily get the Disney+ app from the Play Store for Android and App Store for iOS. Please ensure that Singapore is set as your home region on your Play Store or App Store to download. If you encounter any other issues downloading the app to your device, you may chat or call Disney+ here.

Yes, you will get one Disney+ access per eligible service. However, you will be required to use a different email address to register for separate Disney+ accounts.

What happens when my Disney+ bundled access has ended?

You can continue to access Disney+, however, a subscription fee of $11.98/month will apply once the bundled access has ended. Not to worry, you will be notified at least one month before the bundled access ends, and you can choose to remove the Disney+ subscription from your StarHub billing account via My StarHub App if you do not wish to continue.

Will there be a termination fee if I decide to remove my Disney+ access?

You can only remove the Disney+ bundled access 30 days before the bundled access period ends. There will be no termination fee.

Will I be charged automatically for Disney+ after the bundled access period if I do not activate my Disney+ access?

Not to worry, you will not be charged for Disney+ after the bundled access period if you did not activate it.

What’s the difference between subscribing to Disney+ with StarHub and directly with Disney+ via their app?

With StarHub, you can enjoy Disney+ on us till 22 February 2023 with Mobile+ and Broadband plans and save up to $143.76. You can also choose to sign up for 2 StarHub TV+ Passes, or 1 TV+ Pass with HBO Pak, and enjoy Disney+ on us till 22 February 2023 with savings of up to $287.52.

I have access to Disney+ directly through Disney. Can I transfer my Disney+ subscription under StarHub to my existing account?

If you have access to Disney+ directly through Disney, you can still sign up for the StarHub offer. If you activate the StarHub offer with the same email address as your existing Disney+ subscription, your existing Disney+ access will be paused and your subscription will be managed through StarHub until cancelled. In this situation, your Disney+ subscription directly through Disney will automatically be un-paused if your subscription through StarHub ends.

I am currently subscribing to 2 TV+ Passes / 1 TV+ Pass with HBO Pak. How long is my Disney+ bundled access?

Customers who are holding on to at least 2 TV+ Passes, or 1 TV+ Pass with HBO Pak, will be able to enjoy Disney+ bundled access till 22 February 2023.

I am currently subscribing to 2 TV+ Passes / 1 TV+ Pass with HBO Pak. What happens if I remove my TV+ Pass or HBO Pak along the way? Will I still be entitled to Disney+ bundled access?

You will need to continuously maintain your subscription of at least 2 TV+ Passes, or 1 TV+ Pass with HBO Pak, to continue your Disney+ bundled access. If you remove your TV+ Pass or HBO Pak, your Disney+ bundled access will be terminated immediately.


Should you return to 2 TV+ Passes, or 1 TV+ Pass with HBO Pak, your Disney+ bundled access will resume. However, you will need to activate your Disney+ account again. There will be no change to the end date of your Disney+ bundled access period.

I am currently subscribing to 2 TV+ Passes. What happens if I change my subscription to 1 TV+ Pass with HBO Pak? Will my current Disney+ bundled access continue?

Yes, your current Disney+ bundled access will continue. You do not need to re-activate your Disney+ account.

I am currently subscribing to HomeHub+ 1Gbps/2Gbps plan. How can I get the Disney+ bundled access?

As you already have 1 TV+ Pass included in your HomeHub+ 1Gbps/2Gbps plan, all you need is to add an additional TV+ Pass or HBO Pak to be eligible for Disney+ bundled access.

I am currently subscribing to StarHub TV Basic Group / Entertainment Pass. How can I sign up for the Disney+ on us promotion?

You can visit any StarHub Shop, StarHub Online Store or call 1630 to recontract and switch to the new StarHub TV+ plan with 2 TV+ Passes, or 1 TV+ Pass with HBO Pak, to enjoy Disney+ on us.

The good news is, even if you are currently serving a contract on your existing StarHub TV subscription, you can simply switch to StarHub TV+ plan without incurring any early termination charges.

Do note that in doing so (i.e. switching from StarHub TV Basic Group/Entertainment Pass to StarHub TV+ Pass), any promotions that you might be enjoying on your current StarHub TV subscription will be discontinued.

How do I know if I am subscribed to the new StarHub TV+ Passes?

The Disney+ on us promotion is only applicable with the new 1Gbps Fibre Broadband at $45.90/month. If you are eligible for recontract, you can renew to the new Broadband plan to enjoy Disney+ on us.

Is there a deadline on when we would need to activate our free access to Disney+?

Happy to share that while there is no deadline to activate your free access, your access period will begin from the day you receive your activation SMS from us. For example, if your 12-month Disney+ access was given to you on 23 February 2021, the free period will be until 22 February 2022. If you activate your Disney+ access on 22 February 2022, the free period will be until 21 February 2023.

However, you are encouraged to activate your free access as early as in the first 30 days so that you can enjoy D+ as much as possible.

You can continue to access Disney+, however, a subscription fee of $11.98/month will apply from the next month after the current access ends. You can subscribe to Disney+ as Add-on service via My StarHub App.

  • Please update your My StarHub App to the latest version or at least with version 5.3.0.
  • Once updated, you’ll be able to find Disney+ under the new Entertainment tab.
  • Click Activate now to subscribe.

Who is eligible to sign up for the Disney+ Add-on promotion?

All StarHub customers with a postpaid consumer service, and have no outstanding balance with StarHub, are eligible to subscribe to Disney+ as an Add-on service and enjoy the promotion.

You will need to have a StarHub Postpaid service before you can subscribe to Disney+ as an Add-on service and to enjoy the promotion.

Can I unsubscribe my Disney+ subscription during the commitment period?

There will be an Early Termination Charge if you unsubscribe your Disney+ subscription during the commitment period. We hope you will continue with the Disney+ subscription, however if you would still like to unsubscribe, you can do so via our customer service hotline 1633.

How do I unsubscribe my Disney+ subscription after the commitment period?

You can unsubscribe your Disney+ subscription via My StarHub App after the commitment period.

  • Go to the Entertainment tab on My StarHub App.
  • Select Unsubscribe under Disney+.
  • Submit your request. You will receive an SMS once your request is processed.

I have subscribed to Disney+ as Add-on service. Will I be able to sign up for the Disney+ on us promotion that’s bundled with TV+, Broadband and Mobile+ plans?

Yes, you can.


If you are an existing StarHub Broadband or Mobile customer with the Disney+ Add-on, your Disney+ Add-on will be automatically converted without any Early Termination Charge upon your successful recontract to the eligible StarHub Broadband 1Gbps/2Gbps plans,  Mobile+ $95/$125/$155 2-year plans or Mobile+ $38/$45 SIM Only 1-year plan respectively.


If you are an existing StarHub TV Plan or StarHub Entertainment Pass or HomeHub Plus customer, your Disney+ Add-on will be automatically converted without any Early Termination Charge once you have switched to StarHub TV+ or HomeHub+ 1G/2G plan with 2 TV+ Passes, or 1 TV+ Pass with HBO Pak.

Yes, you can subscribe to Disney+ Add-on and enjoy first 2 months on us. The monthly recurring fee of $11.98/month will apply from the 3rd month onwards.

Is the monthly subscription fee of Disney+ prorated?

The monthly subscription fee of Disney+ is non-prorated. You will be charged for the full month even if you took up the Disney+ service after the start of the month. For example, if you subscribed to the Disney+ service on the 15th of a calendar month, you will still be charged for the full calendar month. Billing cycle for Disney+ will work independently of your existing StarHub billing cycle.

If the subscription is not pro-rated, can I continue to access Disney+ till the end of the subscription period?

Yes, you can. Access will be removed the day after your subscription ends. E.g. if your subscription period for Disney+ is from 23 Apr to 22 May and the access is removed on 14 May, you can still access till 22 May 2021. Your access will be removed on 23 May 2021 00:00hrs.

Can I download the movies and shows on Disney+?

You can download the same title as many times as you want on up to 10 devices, provided you have storage space available on your individual device. And, downloads will stay in your DOWNLOADS for as long as you remain a subscriber, so long as you connect your Disney+-compatible device with the download to the Internet at least once every 30 days.

 

Downloads are supported on mobile devices: Apple and Android phones/tablets, as well as on the Amazon Fire Tablet apps.

Can I log in and stream on Disney+ when I’m abroad?

Yes, when you are abroad, you can watch your downloaded series and movies in offline mode. If you are abroad and online where Disney+ is available, you will also be able to log in and stream content that is available in that country.

Can I activate my free access to Disney+ while I’m overseas?

The free access to Disney+ can only be activated within Singapore. You may activate your access upon your return from overseas.

Can I subscribe to Disney+ as an Add-on service while I’m overseas?

Is there restricted content on Disney+?

Yes, much of the content included within the Star brand is considered 'mature' and may not be suitable for all audiences. The best way to ensure that others are not able to access this content is to set them up with their own profile(s) — you can either create a kid's profile or set the content rating below 14+. Please refer to FAQ 5 to learn more about other parental controls that help keep Disney+ suitable for all ages.

I want to cast the Disney+ show I’m watching on my phone to my TV screen. How do I do it?

If you have a StarHub TV+ box, you can cast what you’re watching on your phone to your TV by setting up Chromecast on your StarHub TV+ box. You can read the detailed steps here.


Disney+ also supports Chromecast and Airplay. You can read more about wirelessly streaming Disney+ content from your Android or iOS mobile device to your TV here.


For other devices, you may refer to the device manufacturer for a quick guide on how to set up or mirror content to your TV.

I’m encountering problem with logging in to my Disney+ account or using the Disney+ app, what should I do?

You may be asked for your Disney+ ID for verification of your subscription. To find out your Disney+ ID, simply follow these steps.

  • Log in to My StarHub App.
  • Go to Entertainment Tab.
  • Go to Disney+ subscription and click 'Manage'
  • Your Disney+ ID will be displayed as shown below
