Disney+ Activation Step-by-Step Guide

How do I activate my Disney+ access?

We will send activation link via SMS and/or email within 24 hours after your StarHub service has been fully activated. Then, you can activate your Disney+ access in 3 simple steps:


Step 1: Click on the activation link that will lead you to My StarHub App. Please update the app to the latest version if you haven't done so.

 Note: If you have not received the activation link via SMS or email after 24 hours from your service activation, you can simply go to My StarHub App, click on the "Entertainment" tab and select "Disney+."

Step 2: The Disney+ Subscription page will display the Disney+ access that’s tied to your StarHub Service. Click "Activate now" to proceed to the Disney+ webpage and create a Disney+ account.

 

Step 3: On the Disney+ webpage, enter an email address and password to create your Disney+ account.

Note: If you are entitled to more than one Disney+ access, please use a different email address and password to create separate Disney+ accounts.

You are all set to go! You can start streaming on www.disneyplus.com or download the app on your mobile devices.

What should I do if I did not receive an activation link?

The activation SMS/email will serve as a reminder that you can now activate your Disney+ access, and will include a quick link for you to download My StarHub App or redirect you immediately to the Disney+ activation page.

If you have yet to receive the activation link after 24 hours from your StarHub service activation, you may manually activate your Disney+ subscription by following the instructions on the "How do I activate my Disney+ access?" FAQ on this page.

When do I need to activate my Disney+ access?

Your Disney+ bundled access period will start on 23 February 2021 when Disney+ is launched, or from the date the StarHub Service is activated, whichever is the later.


To take advantage of the bundled access, you are encouraged to activate your Disney+ account within 30 days from receiving the activation link.


Regardless of activation date, the Disney+ bundled access will end upon the expiry of the prescribed bundled access period tied to the StarHub Service.


Example:

Customer signs up/recontracts to an eligible plan on 23 February 2021 and is entitled to 12 months of Disney+ on us.

Scenario 1:

If the StarHub Service is activated on 23 Feb 2021 and customer activates Disney+ via My StarHub App on 10 April 2021.



Disney+ bundled access period starts from 23 Feb 2021 till 22 Feb 2022.

Scenario 2:

If the StarHub Service is activated on 26 Feb 2021 and customer activates Disney+ via My StarHub App on 10 April 2021.



Disney+ bundled access period starts from 26 Feb 2021 till 25 Feb 2022.

I have signed up for more than one eligible plan, will I be entitled to more than one Disney+ access?

Yes, you can enjoy one Disney+ access with each eligible plan. However, you will be required to use a different email address to register for separate Disney+ accounts.

The Disney+ activation page in My StarHub App will display the Disney+ access that’s tied to the StarHub service.

Should I use the same email address in My StarHub App to create Disney+ account?

Yes, you can use your Hub ID email address to create a Disney+ account.

If you are entitled to multiple Disney+ accounts due to multiple eligible services/plans, you will be required to use a different email address to register for separate Disney+ accounts.

I have access to Disney+ directly through Disney. Can I transfer my Disney+ subscription under StarHub to my existing account?

If you have access to Disney+ directly through Disney, you can still sign up for the StarHub offer. If you activate the StarHub offer with the same email address as your existing Disney+ subscription, your existing Disney+ access will be paused and your subscription will be managed through StarHub until cancelled. In this situation, your Disney+ subscription directly through Disney will automatically be un-paused if your subscription through StarHub ends.

Which are the devices I can use to access Disney+?

You can access Disney+ via Mobile App, PC Web Browsers, Android TV devices, Apple TV (4th Gen), selected Smart TVs models and Gaming Consoles. Refer to list of supported devices here.


You may click on Apple, Android, and Windows to download Disney+ to your devices or simply open Google Play/App Store/Microsoft Store and search "Disney+" to install.


Disney+ is also available on the StarHub TV+ box and TV+ Pro home screen. Just note that before you sign in, please activate your Disney+ account via My StarHub App first.

Can I find Disney+ on the StarHub TV+ box?

Yes, the Disney+ App will be pre-loaded as part of the new StarHub TV+ Box firmware (Version 1.2.1). You will be able to find the Disney+ App on the Home Screen of the StarHub TV+ Box.

How do I manually update the StarHub TV+ Box firmware?

Step 1:

Go to Android TV Settings > Device Preferences > About > System update

How do I access Disney+ on the StarHub TV+ Box?

You can access the Disney+ App via any of the following ways:

Note:

How do I start streaming on Disney+?

Once you have activated your Disney+ account, you can login to the Disney+ App with your registered email and password to start streaming on Disney+.

I followed the instructions but was still unable to activate Disney+. What should I do?

What should I do if I'm unable to open the Disney+ app on my device?

If the subscription has already been activated but you still encountered an issue while logging in to the app on your devices, please try clearing the Disney+ app data and try again. If the issue persists, please visit help.disneyplus.com or contact the Disney+ customer service at +65 3105 1486 (available 24/7).

If you have yet to activate your Disney+ access via My StarHub App, you may follow the instructions in "How do I activate my Disney+ access?" FAQ on this page. Please ensure that the application is updated to the latest version (version 5.3.0 or above).

How do I unsubscribe to my Disney+ complimentary access?

We encourage you to keep the Disney+ subscription until the complimentary access period ends to fully enjoy the service. You will receive an alert before the promotion is over and by then, you will be able to unsubscribe to your Disney+ subscription via My StarHub App.


Should you still wish to deactivate the service before then, please reach out to us via Facebook or WhatsApp for immediate assistance. Please note that once Disney+ is removed, the prevailing promotion can no longer be re-applied.
