What is StarHub Entertainment Pass?

The StarHub Entertainment Pass is the new and revamped StarHub Entertainment experience, known previously as the StarHub TV Plan.

It is simple and comes with 7 genre-based Entertainment Passes for customers to choose from. At just ONE price, the subscription to any of these Passes comes with a set-top box, and the convenience of watching your subscribed channels on-the-go, via StarHub TV app.

What’s more, with the new StarHub Entertainment Pass, there is no more activation nor installation fees for any contract plan. Plus, customers can enjoy the flexibility of switching between the seven Entertainment Passes at any point using StarHub App or My Account online portal.

Customer can purchase the Entertainment Pass with any of the 3 options:

  • $30.46 per month with a 24-month contract
  • $40.64 per month with a 12-month contract
  • $50.83 per month with no contract

What are the different types of Entertainment Pass I can choose from?

There is a total of 7 Entertainment Passes available - Asian Entertainment Pass, English Entertainment Pass, Indian Entertainment Pass, Malay Entertainment Pass, Movies Pass, Sports Pass and Filipino Entertainment Pass.


  • English Entertainment Pass – the best value Pass that brings you over 50 channels of the latest English drama series and variety shows, inspiring lifestyle programs, critically acclaimed documentaries, popular kids programs, and latest news around the world for the whole family.
  • Asian Entertainment Pass – the ‘go-to’ Pass if you would like to catch the latest and top-rated dramas, variety shows, movies, infotainment and Live Award Shows across Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China and Japan.
  • Indian Entertainment Pass – the one single Entertainment Pass that brings together the best of Hindi & Tamil drama series, variety shows, comedy, movies, plus lifestyle programs, news and current affairs from India.
  • Malay Entertainment Pass – the specially curated Pass that brings you the best of Malay entertainment from movies, dramas, variety shows, plus Korea dramas and movies.
  • Movies Pass – the ultimate Entertainment Pass for all movie buffs and discerning movie fans for around the-clock binge watching of the biggest Hollywood blockbusters, award-winning movies, all-time favourite classics to even international movies in its original languages from Spain to India.
  • Filipino Entertainment Pass – the ‘must-have’ selection for every Filipino family comprising of the top-rated drama series, variety shows, movies and around the clock news from the Philippines.
  • Sports Pass - the only sports Pass that brings together the LIVE broadcasts and highlight shows of your favourite sporting events from tennis, golf, motor sports, WWE to even cricket.

I am a current StarHub TV customer on contract. Am I able to sign up to the StarHub Entertainment Pass?

Yes! All customers, regardless of whether new or existing, will be able to enjoy the benefits of the new StarHub Entertainment Pass.

So even if you are currently serving a contract on your existing StarHub TV subscription, you can readily change out to a StarHub Entertainment Pass without incurring any early termination charge.

To do so, you can simply recontract to a corresponding StarHub Entertainment Pass of the same contract duration as per your current contract to start enjoying the benefits that come with the all new StarHub Entertainment Pass. (e.g. If you are currently on a 24-month contract, you can still choose to change out to a StarHub Entertainment Pass with a 24-month contract)

Do note that in doing so (i.e. switching from StarHub TV Plan to StarHub Entertainment Pass), any promotions that you might be enjoying on your current StarHub TV subscription will be discontinued.

Also, please note of that some channels currently offered as part of your StarHub TV subscription may not be available under the StarHub Entertainment Pass. So, do check out before you make the change. (Refer to Answer to Question 11 for list of channels)

What is the difference between the 24-mth contract, 12-mth contract and the no contract option?

StarHub Entertainment Pass comes in 3 options:

  1. $30.46 per month with a 24-month contract
  2. $40.64 per month with a 12-month contract
  3. $50.83 per month with no contract

At just ONE price, each option comes with:

  • Choice of ONE Entertainment Pass (from the 7 passes)
  • A set-top box
  • The access to watch subscribed channels on-the-go via StarHub TV app.


There is no difference in the content offering in each Entertainment Pass regardless of the contract duration.


SAVINGS

The option with a 24-month contract offers the GREATEST savings at $20.37 per month over 24 months; While the option with 12-month contract offers a savings at $10.19 per month over 12 months.

For the no-contract option, an installation charge of $54.50 will apply for any NEW sign up.

I have signed up to a StarHub TV Entertainment Pass on a contract. Can I change it to another Entertainment Pass during the contract period?

Yes, you can change out to other Entertainment Pass(es) anytime during your contract period.

Simply visit My Account online portal to make the change. There will be no additional charges for making the change until further notice. Please note that there is a 24 hour processing time for switching Passes.

How do I switch my Pass(es)?

Sign in using your Hub iD to StarHub App (and tap "TV" > "Modify" under "My passes & add-ons") or using My Account.

How many times can I switch Pass(es)?

You have unlimited number of switches. Please note that there is a 24 hour processing time for switching Passes.

Can I add more Entertainment Passes to my subscription? What should I do?

Certainly! You can choose to add more Entertainment Passes which do not come with any contract and available at just $18.23/pass on top of your existing Entertainment Pass(es).

To add more Entertainment Pass, simply:

  1. Go to any channel of your choice, press the blue button on your remote control and subscribe.

    For example, to subscribe to the Sports Pass, simply go to any Sports channel (e.g. Hub Sports 1 Channel 201) and press the blue button and subscribe. Or

  2. Visit StarHub App or My Account online portal to add your Pass(es).

I have 2 or more Entertainment Passes. Can I switch them all at once?

Yes, you may switch more than one Pass.

Why is there a difference in the number of channels in the various Entertainment Passes?

The channels offered under the respective Entertainment Passes are designed and packaged according to similar genres. Hence, the count of channels may differ from across different Passes.

Why do some of the new StarHub Entertainment Passes have so few channels but I’m expected to pay the same price as the rest of the Entertainment Passes?

The channels offered under the respective Entertainment Passes are designed and packaged according to the genre similarity, taking into consideration the viewing preference of majority of our customers. Hence, the count of channels may differ across different Entertainment Passes.

To provide greater viewing flexibility, you can also choose to change out to other Entertainment Pass(es). There will be no additional charges for making the change.

I am a current StarHub TV customer. Can I purchase any of the StarHub Entertainment passes via the blue button on my remote control?

The Entertainment Passes are only available to customers who are subscribed under the new StarHub Entertainment Pass.

To switch from your existing StarHub TV Plan to StarHub Entertainment Pass, simply visit www.starhub.com/entertainment or visit any StarHub Shop.

How can I change my current Entertainment Pass to another Entertainment Pass during the contract period?

You can simply do so by modifying your subscription via StarHub App or My Account online portal. There will be no additional charges for making the change.

I’m currently subscribed to [Channel Name] and I want to recontract my TV Service, why is it not available on StarHub Entertainment Pass?

Due to commercial reasons, some channels will not be available as part of our StarHub Entertainment Pass.

Kindly be informed that once you have changed out to a StarHub Entertainment Pass, you will not be able to change back to the previous StarHub TV plan.

If you wish to continue viewing and subscribed to the [Channel Name], we would advise you to remain on your current StarHub TV Plan subscription.

List of channels which are available on StarHub TV HD Packs (previous StarHub TV Plan) but are not available under the StarHub Entertainment Pass:

  • Eeva Learning Channel (Ch 325)
  • EROS Bollywood On Demand (Ch 142)
  • Asianet (Ch 139)
  • Asianet Movies (Ch 140)
  • ONE English (Ch 820)

If I had added ‘Sports Pass’ on top of the “Movies Pass” which I had initially opted for when I signed up to StarHub Entertainment Pass on a 12-month contract, but subsequently choose to unsubscribe the “Movies Pass”, will I be charged an Early Termination Charge (ETC) even if I were to retain the “Sports Pass”?

Under the new StarHub Entertainment Pass, the subscription comes with one bundled Entertainment Pass. This is regardless of the type of Entertainment Pass you might have chosen.

In this case, as long as you have maintained at least one Entertainment Pass in your subscription, you will not be charged for any early termination charges.

We are also pleased to share with you that any additional Entertainment Pass(es) that you may choose to add on at any point, does not come with any contract. Hence, you will not need to worry about any early termination charge as well.

If I change my current Entertainment Pass to a different pass, when will it take effect?

The change will take place in 24 hours.

Am I still able to add specific channels or am I required to buy the whole Entertainment Pass?

Under the new StarHub Entertainment, we have streamlined our channels offering to only 7 Entertainment Passes and 6 Add-on Passes.

If the specific channel you are interested in is one of our seven Entertainment Passes, a subscription to the specific Entertainment Pass is needed. Each incremental Pass is affordably priced at $18.23/month and comes with more channels to provide you with greater viewing selection.

We are also pleased to share with you that any additional Entertainment Pass(es) that you may choose to add on at any point, does not come with any contract. Hence, you will not need to worry about any early termination charge as well.

Are the old StarHub TV plans still available?

The StarHub Entertainment Pass is the new and revamped StarHub Entertainment experience, known previously as the StarHub TV Plan. As such, the old StarHub TV plans will no longer be available for new sign up and recontract with effect from 1 April 2019.

How can I stop my subscription to an Entertainment Pass?

You can remove your Entertainment Pass via My Account.


• Log in using your Hub iD.

• Click "View and Manage TV" then "Modify TV subscriptions".

• Add and/or remove passes accordingly and follow the next steps.


Once your request has been successfully submitted, your Entertainment Pass will be removed within 24 hours.
