You can choose the buy now pay later option or pay for the device amount in full. Pay in 12 or 24 monthly instalments with 0% interest and no plan contract when you opt to buy now pay later.
How is purchasing a device using pay later with a 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum Plan different from EasyGo instalments?
EasyGo was offered for device purchases with our 1-year SIM Only plans. Pay later is an improved version that lets you enjoy extra savings while you pay in bite-sized instalments over 12 or 24 months at 0% interest. Payments will be charged directly to your debit/credit card, not your StarHub bill.
With 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum Plans, you'll receive DeviceDollars with each monthly renewal. If you purchase a device with your 5G Unlimited+ or 5G Platinum Plan, your DeviceDollars will be used to offset your instalment payments each month.
Can I choose to pay later with all devices that StarHub offers?
You can choose to pay later with 0% interest monthly instalments for phones, watches and tablets. Accessories are not applicable.
Can I buy accessories like phone cases with Pay later?
You can buy accessories together with your device, but you’ll need to pay for them upfront. Only phones, watches and tablets can be purchased with Pay later.

Can I trade in my old device then get a device with 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum using buy now pay later?
Yes, you can! Simply opt for Pay later when purchasing your new device. Once you've completed your purchase, ensure you've backed up or transferred your data to your new device, then head over to our trade-in page to arrange your trade-in.
Can I change my SIM Only plan to 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum and continue my EasyGo monthly instalment plan with pay later instalments?
No, your EasyGo monthly instalment plan cannot be converted. If you wish to switch to a 5G Unlimited+ or 5G Platinum Plan, you will need to pay the remainder of your EasyGo payment in full before switching.

Who’s eligible to buy a device with 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum through buy now pay later?
Singapore citizens, PRs, ONE Pass and Employment Pass holders are eligible to enjoy monthly instalment payments on a new device. You must be subscribed to, signing up for, or switching to a 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum Plan. Other eligibility checks apply.
Does buy now pay later apply for StarHub Broadband or TV?
No, pay later is only available for devices purchased with a 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum Plan.
I have an ongoing EasyGo instalment with my SIM Only plan. Can I also purchase a device with 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum and choose to pay later?
Yes. As long as you have both your existing SIM Only plan and a new 5G Unlimited+/5G Platinum Plan, you can have both an EasyGo and a pay later instalment plan at the same time, subject to eligibility.
Is the option to buy now pay later for device purchases available for SIM Only plans or 2-year Device Plans?
No. Pay later is currently only available for 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum Plan customers.

How do I purchase a device with 0% interest monthly instalments with a 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum Plan?
To purchase a device with your 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum Plan, log into the StarHub app with your Hub ID, select a device with Pay later as your chosen payment option, and choose between a 12 or 24-month instalment period.obile number.
What documents do I need to prepare if I’m choosing to pay later with a 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum Plan?
You’ll need your Singpass for the eligibility check. For ONE Pass or Employment Pass holders, your work pass must have a minimum validity period of six months.
Is there a limit to the number of devices I can purchase with a pay later instalment plan?
Depending on eligibility, you can have multiple simultaneous pay later instalment plans. Each will go through an eKYC eligibility check.
Can I buy two (2) devices (e.g. iPhone and Apple Watch) under one buy now pay later plan?
Yes, two devices can be purchased in a single transaction under one pay later instalment plan.
What instalment payment periods are available for buy now pay later?
You can choose between 12- or 24-month instalment payment periods, subjected to our eligibility requirements.
Once I’ve purchased a device, can I change the instalment payment period from 12 months to 24 months or vice versa?
No, the instalment payment period is fixed once the purchase is completed.

How is the buy now pay later monthly instalment amount computed?
Your device cost is divided equally by the number of months in your instalment plan. E.g. $1,200 device over 12 months = $100/month.
If you are receiving DeviceDollars with your 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum Plan, it will be automatically applied to your monthly payable instalment amount.
E.g.
$1,200 device over 12 months = $100/month
DeviceDollars received per month = 5 DeviceDollar
Monthly installment: $100 - 5 DeviceDollars = $95/mth

How do I pay for my monthly instalments?
You’ll be asked to link a debit/credit card (Visa, Mastercard, or American Express) to your pay later plan at check out. The instalment amount will be charged to this card every month. Notification of BNPL payment deduction is sent 3 days prior to the due date to remind customers.

What types of cards can I link to my 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum or device purchase?
We accept both debit and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard or American Express). Please ensure the card you use is enrolled in a security program (Verified by Visa, MasterCard SecureCode or American Express SafeKey®) for 3D secure authentication.
Can I use StarHub Dollars and Bonus Dollars to pay for my monthly instalment?
No, Starhub Dollars can only be used to pay for your Star Plan / 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum Plan.
Pay later monthly instalments for your device will be deducted from the debit/credit card you used during purchase. DeviceDollars (if any) can be used and will be automatically applied.
Can I defer payment for my monthly instalment?
No, payment for your instalment plan charged automatically on a monthly basis. If it remains unpaid past the deadline, your plan will be cancelled and the remaining balance charged to your card.
My buy now pay later plan is ending in a month. Can I buy a new device and choose this option again?
Yes, as long as you meet eligibility requirements.
Can I end my buy now pay later monthly instalments earlier and just pay for the balance in full?
Yes, you may choose to end your pay later instalment plan early by clicking "Cancel this instalment plan" on your pay later details page.
Late Payment Fee
Why is StarHub introducing late fee + admin charges for buy now pay later (BNPL) now?
This fee encourages timely payments and helps cover administrative costs of overdue accounts.
When did the new late fee + admin charges take effect?
The introduction of late fee + admin charges took effect from 3 July 2025. They will be charged to your account upon a failed deduction attempt once your pay later instalment is overdue.
Can I request for a waiver on late fee + admin charges for pay later instalment payments?
No, we are unable to waive the late fee + admin charges.
How much is the late fee + admin charge for overdue pay later instalments?
The late fee + admin charge is $38.15 (inclusive of GST).
Is the late fee + admin charge applicable to new customers or existing customers or both?
It applies to all new and existing customers who opt to pay later for a new device from 3 July 2025.

Please ensure you’re subscribed to a 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum Plan and that you have no outstanding payments. If your are not eligible, you can select pay today to pay the device amount in full.
I’m changing my 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum to another 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum plan. Will it affect my ongoing pay later instalment plan?
No, your pay later instalment plan can continue as long as you switch to another 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum Plan.
I had my 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum suspended voluntarily because I’m going overseas. What happens to my pay later instalments?
Your pay later instalments are charged separately and will continue even while your 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum Plan is suspended.
What happens to my pay later instalment plan if I miss a payment?
Your plan will be cancelled if unpaid for 27 days from the due date, and the remaining balance will be charged to your card.
What happens to my pay later instalment plan if my 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum is suspended due to non-payment?
Your pay later instalment plan will continue, unless it remains unpaid for 27 days after the payment due date. If your 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum is terminated, your plan will be cancelled and the remaining balance charged to your linked payment method.
What happens to my pay later instalment plan if I terminate my 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum or switch to another telco?
Your plan will be cancelled, and the remaining balance will be charged to your linked payment method.
What happens to my pay later instalment plan if I transfer my 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum to another owner?
Transfer of ownership isn't supported at the moment.
The device I bought is defective. Can I get a replacement?
Once you have accepted delivery of the device, any issues with your device should be raised with the manufacturer's service centre. Please check the condition of your device at the point of delivery.
The amount charged to my debit/credit card is higher than my pay later instalment instalment amount. What should I do?
