What is CyberCover?

CyberCover is a personal cyber protection that provides comprehensive coverage including professional assistance and support against cyber risks such as identity theft, cyber-bullying, unauthorised transactions on your payment cards and undelivered online purchases.


This insurance is arranged by StarHub for their customers under a Group Policy issued and underwritten by Chubb Insurance Singapore Limited. This insurance coverage is subject to the terms, conditions and exclusions of the Group Policy where StarHub is the PolicyHolder.

Please note that the Benefit Amount(s) specified in the Group Policy Schedule are annual limits. This means that the maximum that will be paid to an Insured Person in any 12-month period is the Benefit Amount(s) stated in the Insured Person’s Coverage Summary, notwithstanding that there may be multiple events during the relevant 12-month period. Furthermore, for a Family Policy, each Benefit Amount is an aggregate limit shared by the Insured Person and his/her Immediate Family.

Can I sign up for more than one CyberCover plan?

Each customer is only entitled to one plan.

Who could sign up for CyberCover?

CyberCover is available to all StarHub Mobile/Broadband customers who are Singapore Residents and above 18 years old.

What is the price of CyberCover from StarHub?

There are 2 available plans under CyberCover from StarHub:

  • Individual Policy @ $10.18/month
  • Family Policy @ $13.23/month

What is the payment method available?

Charges are payable through your StarHub bill.

If I purchase a Family Policy, who will be covered?

Immediate Family living in the same household as the Enrolled Person will be covered under the Family Policy. This includes children, spouse/partner(who has been living permanently with the Enrolled Person for the required period of time), and parents/parents-in-law, as long as they are permanently residing in the same registered address as the Enrolled Person.

How can I sign up for CyberCover from StarHub?

Step 1:

Open your StarHub App.

Step 2:

Tap on "SafeHub+" icon.

Tap on “Manage & Info” of "CyberCover" from the list of products under "Cyber Security".

View the different plans.

Step 5:

Choose your preferred CyberCover policy and tap “Subscribe”.

Step 6:

Select the billing account you wish to add CyberCover to.

Step 7:

Verify the details on the Review page and tap “Submit” to complete the order.

I have just signed up for CyberCover. How will I know if my purchase is successful?

Upon successful purchase, you will receive a confirmation SMS, and an email with your CyberCover Coverage summary from Chubb. Please be reminded to store your coverage summary securely as it will be required, should you need to make a claim. If you do not receive any email or SMS within 2 working days, you can contact Chubb at the following:

Can I change my coverage from Family Policy to Individual Policy?

You can change from Family to Individual Policy simply by cancelling your current Family Policy and reapplying for the Individual Policy.

What happens if I change my mind after purchasing?

Step 1:

Open your StarHub App.

Step 2:

Tap on "SafeHub+" icon.

Step 3:

Tap on “Manage & Info” of "CyberCover" from the list of products under "Cyber Security".

Step 4:

Choose the plan you wish to manage/remove between CyberCover and tap on "Manage subscription".

Step 5:

Select the service you wish to manage and tap on “View Details”.

Step 6:

Tap on “Remove subscription” and “Yes, I would like to proceed”.

How will I be billed for my CyberCover?

The subscription charges will be billed to your StarHub bill monthly.

Can I choose how long I would like to be covered?

Coverage is on a pay-as-you-go basis. This means that customers will have the option to terminate their coverage under CyberCover, should they believe that it is no longer necessary for them.

What will happen to my coverage should I change my StarHub services? What do I need to do to continue my coverage?

Customers holding any active mobile or broadband service, that has not been suspended due to your default, will continue to enjoy coverage under CyberCover.

What will happen to my coverage if I suspend/ terminate/ transfer the ownership of my StarHub services? What do I need to do to reinstate my coverage?

If all your mobile and broadband services have been terminated or suspended due to your default, coverage under CyberCover will be terminated. To reinstate coverage, please ensure that you have a mobile or broadband service with StarHub that is not in suspension for default. You will then be able to apply for CyberCover again.


If all your mobile and broadband services have been transferred to a third party, your coverage under CyberCover will be terminated.

What is covered under Identify Theft?

In the event of Identity Theft, the Insured Person is provided protection against cost of recovering the Insured Person’s identity, including loss of personal income due to time taken off from work to restore and/or rectify records of the Insured Person’s identity through:

  • Quick Legal Consult;
  • Legal Expenses;
  • IT / Tech Support;
  • Loss of Income; and/or
  • Additional Expenses (i.e., expenses solely and directly incurred by the Insured Person as a result of Identity Theft) including but not limited to the following:
    1. Replacement Fees where applicable;
    2. Travel Expenses;
    3. eldercare and/or childcare costs; and/or
    4. expenses incurred on the instructions of Chubb's IT/Tech Support to arrange additional technical support in circumstances where it is not possible to assist with resolving or minimising the extent of the Identity Theft by telephone or remote access alone.


If all your mobile and broadband services have been transferred to a third party, your coverage under CyberCover will be terminated.

What is covered under Cyber-Bullying?

In the event of Cyber-Bullying, the Insured Person is provided coverage for:

  • Quick Legal Consult;
  • Legal Expenses;
  • IT / Tech Support;
  • Initial Counselling Session;
  • Trauma Counselling Expenses; and/or
  • Additional Expenses (i.e., expenses solely and directly incurred by the Insured Person as a result of Cyber-Bullying) including but not limited to the following:
    1. Replacement Fees where applicable;
    2. Travel Expenses;
    3. eldercare and/or childcare costs; and/or
    4. expenses incurred on the instructions of Chubb's IT/Tech Support to arrange additional technical support in circumstances where it is not possible to assist with resolving or minimising the extent of the Identity Theft by telephone or remote access alone.

What is covered under Unauthorised Transactions?

Protection to restore financial loss following fraudulent transactions made on Payment Card(s) under the Insured Person’s name - including if the Payment Card(s) is/are physically missing or not.

What is covered under Buyers Protection?

Protection of eligible online purchases of items made under the Insured Person's payment card(s) which either the items do not arrive or do not match the seller's description when delivered.

How can I file a claim?

You can file for a claim by calling Chubb Assistance at +65 6322 2136 (Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm; excluding Public Holidays) For claims relating to Buyers Protection, Additional Expenses and Loss of Income Expenses, you will need to contact Chubb Claims at claims.SG@chubb.com


Before making a claim, you must report Identity Theft, Cyber-Bullying or Unauthorised Transactions to the Police. For Unauthorised Transactions claims, you should in the first instance contact the relevant payment card issuer and query the relevant transactions.


Please be prepared to provide (i) the group policy number, (ii) the coverage summary, (iii) full name and NRIC / FIN number for verification purposes; and (iv) Police Report. To find the group policy number and coverage summary, please refer to the email sent to you by Chubb upon your registration to CyberCover.

What notifications/ documents about my coverage will I receive after I terminate my coverage?

You will receive an email from Chubb regarding the termination of your coverage if your coverage is terminated.
