Difference between Cable and Fibre
The difference is on the last mile connection using coaxial cable and fibre. Due to the different in last mile connection, coaxial transmit using Electrical Signal while fibre transmit using light. Once the connections are aggregated, data are then transmitted using IP packets into our network and to the Internet, and vice versa. Basically there is no difference in speed except for the different transmission medium used at the last mile. The difference is the supported bandwidth as illustrated below.
