StarHub Variety Pass
What is StarHub Variety Pass?
StarHub Variety Pass is a single-pass plan that offers a selection of channels across multiple genres. To know the channels included in the pass, visit this page.
You can sign up for a Variety Pass on a 12-month contract to enjoy one free set-top box rental. In addition to the channels on offer, you'll be able to access freeview channels at no additional charge.
This plan supports cross-carriage and horse racing channels but does not offer any other add-on channels or passes.
Please note that StarHub Fibre Broadband is required to subscribe to the Variety Pass. If not, simply add $15.28/month for a Fibre Link Access.
I am a current StarHub TV / Entertainment customer. Am I able to change my plan to the new StarHub Variety Pass?
As long as you are not under any contract, you may contract to StarHub Variety Pass anytime.
To check your recontract eligibility, simply log into My Account or StarHub App.
An early termination fee will apply if you wish to change to the StarHub Variety Pass from an existing StarHub TV / Entertainment contract.
I am a current StarHub TV customer. Can I purchase the StarHub Variety Pass via the blue button on my remote control?
The Variety Pass is a separate plan and is not available for purchase via Instant Buy. You can instead change your plan by signing up online.
What is the difference between the StarHub Variety Pass and the rest of the StarHub Entertainment Pass passes?
The Variety Pass is a separate plan from the rest of the StarHub Entertainment Passes. While the StarHub Entertainment Passes are designed to cater to content lovers of the various specific genres, the Variety Pass, on the other hand, is a special packaged subscription that comprises of one fixed list of selected channels across a range of genres. You may not sign up to both on the same subscription.
Can I add more channels to my Variety Pass subscription?
We are are happy to know that you are enjoying your StarHub Entertainment experience! Unfortunately, you may not add more channels to your Variety Pass subscription.
Alternatively, you can opt for a 12-month or 24-month subscription of StarHub Entertainment Pass at any time. Rest assured that there will not be any Early Termination Charge (ETC) should you wish to switch out from Variety Pass to StarHub Entertainment Pass while you are still on a contract.
If you are no longer on a contract for your Variety Pass, you may choose to switch to StarHub Entertainment Pass (no contract) in addition to the two contract options above.
Is the Variety Pass available without a contract?
A contract-free option is not available for Variety Pass. For a no-contract option, you may want to consider signing up to the StarHub Entertainment Pass instead.
Can I watch cross-carriage channels with a Variety Pass plan subscription?
Good news! Cross-carriage is supported. If you are changing plans, your existing cross-carriage subscription will continue to be available when you switch to this plan. No action is required unless you wish to discontinue the cross-carriage subscription in which case you will have to contact Singtel.
Can I watch Horse Racing channels with a Variety Pass plan subscription?
Yes you can! Horse Racing channels are supported. If you are changing plans, your existing Horse Racing channels subscription will carry over to this plan. No action is required unless you wish to discontinue the subscription.
What happens to my other add-on channels, packs or passes when I convert to a Variety Pass plan?
If you are switching to a Variety Pass plan, your subscription of other add-on channels, packs or passes will not be available as part of Variety Pass plan. You may want to consider retaining your current StarHub Entertainment Pass or StarHub TV subscription instead to continue enjoying access to your preferred channels.
Are the old StarHub TV plans still available?
The StarHub Variety Pass is one of the offerings under the new and revamped StarHub Entertainment experience, known previously as the StarHub TV Plan. As such, the old StarHub TV plans will no longer be available for new sign up and recontract with effect from 1 April 2019.
