With JUMPhone, we guarantee an attractive immediate upfront savings. You’ll pay for the phone in affordable monthly instalments and can jump to a brand new phone every 12 months with a nominal fee!
To get a new phone, all you need to do is
- Complete 12 months of the JUMPhone instalment contract; and
- Return the current mobile device in good working condition or choose to own the device.
But if you absolutely love the phone and prefer to own it, you can do so anytime!
JUMPhone comes with a 24-month instalment term. If you do not return the phone after 24 months, your instalment plan will be automatically extended for 6 more months.
Example: If the JUMPhone term started on 13 March 2020, you would need to return the mobile device on 13 Mar 2022.
Your phone needs to be fully functional – can make and receive calls and texts, has a functioning battery, an intact screen that can be unlocked, able to connect to the internet and is free from physical damage or any missing or disassembled parts.
We recommend you stay with us on JUMPhone for 24 months. However, if you prefer to return the phone, we require you to pay the remaining instalment fees. The fees vary, depending on phone models and the outstanding months. More details here.
Not to worry, JUMPhone comes bundled with FREE worry-free device care by SmartSupport that provides coverage in the event of damage, subject to terms and conditions.
You can contact SmartSupport at toll-free number 800 852 6030 or +65 6822 2255 (while overseas) to make a Service Request for a swap. (Service Fees apply).
You will still be required to pay the monthly JUMPhone instalments during this period.
If the mobile service remains suspended after the minimum suspension period of 6 months, the mobile plan together with your JUMPhone plan will be terminated. With that, we will charge in your next bill under “ Pay to Own” terms.
It’s all within your control,
- Choose to return the phone in a good working condition and get a brand-new phone at no extra cost!
- Continue with the monthly instalment for the next 6 months.
The phone is now yours and there’s no need for you to return the phone to StarHub.
If you do not return the phone after 24 months, your JUMPhone plan will be extended for another 6 months. After which, the phone is yours!
Alternatively, you can choose to get another brand new phone at no extra cost.
Here's a checklist to ensure a smooth process when returning your phone:
1. Ensure that your phone is in good working condition
- Can make and receive calls and texts
- Has a functioning battery
- Has an intact screen that can be unlocked
- Phone can connect to the internet
- Phone is free from physical damage or any missing or disassembled parts.
2. Back up all your data
3. Delete your personal/confidential information
4. Perform a factory reset, disable any security features and remove the SIM and memory cards.
We’ll require you to return the same phone (with the same IMEI number) that you got from us under JUMPhone.
