How do I activate my Amazon Prime membership?

Activate your membership in 5 simple steps:


Step 1:

Upon signing up to one of the eligible plans, look out for the SMS and/or email that will be sent to your registered mobile number or email with StarHub within 24 hours once your StarHub service has been fully activated.


Step 2:

Click on the activation link in the SMS and/or email on your mobile device to go to StarHub App.

If you are not using the latest version of the StarHub App, please update your app via the App Store or Google Play Store.


Step 3:

The activation link will lead you directly to the Amazon Prime membership page.
In case you have missed or have not received any SMS or email with the activation link, you can also open the StarHub App, tap “Entertainment”, and select “Amazon Prime”.


1. Open StarHub app. Tap on "Entertainment", then select "Amazon Prime".

2. Tap on “Manage subscription” then “Subscribe now”.

3. Sign in with an existing account or select “Create account” if you don’t have one yet. Complete the registration and wait for the on-screen confirmation of successful activation.

Step 4:

The Amazon Prime membership page will display the Amazon Prime offer that’s tied to your StarHub Service.

Click “Subscribe now” and you will be re-directed to Amazon’s webpage for further instructions on how to sign up.


Using the StarHub App

If you have signed up for more than one eligible plan, you can enjoy one Amazon Prime offer with each eligible plan. However, you will be required to use a different email address or mobile number to register for separate Amazon accounts.


Step 5:

Sign in or create a new Amazon account and you’re done!

You will receive an SMS and email confirmation upon successful activation.

What happens to my Amazon Prime membership after the 3-month period?

If you were eligible for the 3-month Amazon Prime membership offer and successfully activated it within the validity period, your Amazon Prime membership will be chargeable at $4.99/month from the 4th month onwards.

The amount will be directly charged to your StarHub bill, giving you greater convenience of just having one bill for StarHub and entertainment services. Should you wish to cancel your membership, you can do so anytime via StarHub app, with no cancellation fees!

Will there be any early termination fee if I decide to cancel my Amazon Prime membership?

There are no termination fees for cancelling your Amazon Prime membership. You may enjoy your subscription for as long as you like or cancel it anytime via the StarHub app.

I have an existing Amazon Prime membership with Amazon. Can I transfer StarHub's offer to my existing account?

If you are already an Amazon Prime member, you can activate the offer through StarHub, once your membership has ended with Amazon. To know more about your existing membership details, please visit the "Manage Prime membership page’ within the Amazon shopping app.

What will happen to my Amazon Prime membership if I change my mobile number?

Unfortunately, your Amazon Prime membership will be terminated once your mobile number is changed.

What will happen to my Amazon Prime membership if my mobile number is suspended?

You will still be able to enjoy your Amazon Prime membership benefits until the next renewal cycle.

Example: Your mobile number is suspended on 5 February and the next renewal is on 5 March, you will be able to access your Amazon Prime membership till 4 March. Thereafter, if your mobile number is still suspended, your Amazon Prime membership will be terminated.

What will happen to my Amazon Prime membership if I terminate my mobile number?

Unfortunately, your Amazon Prime membership with StarHub will be terminated as well.

Do I sign up for the Amazon Prime membership with my mobile number or email address?

It’s up to you! You can sign up using either your mobile number or email address. However, we recommend signing up with your email address as you may not be able to log into your Amazon account with your mobile number should you choose to terminate your mobile line in the future.

How do I unsubscribe to my Amazon Prime membership via StarHub?

You can manage your subscription to Amazon Prime via StarHub app.

1. From the homepage, tap on the “Entertainment Tab” and select “Amazon Prime”.

2. Tap on "Manage & Info".

3. Tap on "Manage subscription".

3. Select “Unsubscribe” and submit your request. 


Note: If you terminate within your billing cycle, pro-ration of charges will apply, and any unused portion will be credited back to you and reflected on your next billing statement.

I have not renewed or signed up for a new Device Plan (2-year) mobile plan. Am I still eligible for the Amazon Prime membership?

Yes, of course you may add an Amazon Prime subscription to any eligible StarHub service to enjoy the convenience of one StarHub bill.

Simply launch the StarHub App on your mobile device> Select Entertainment > select Amazon Prime > select Manage subscription and choose the eligible StarHub service you want to add your Amazon Prime membership to and subscribe.

How will I know that my Amazon Prime membership status is active?

You will receive a confirmation email from Amazon that you are an Amazon Prime member, and see a successful activation status for your membership through StarHub. Do note that any mobile data used while downloading the apps or using Amazon.sg, Prime Now, Prime Video and Twitch Prime will be deducted from your data allowance bundle.

Can I use my Amazon Prime membership outside of Singapore?

Yes, of course! You will be able to stream or download content on Prime Video and Twitch Prime wherever you are. For shopping/delivery, do note that it's only applicable for local addresses.

Why does it say that some content is unavailable in Singapore?

Amazon Prime offers a wide selection of content. However, some of them have regional restrictions (e.g., copyright, banned content). You will encounter a “This Video Is Currently Unavailable to Watch in Your Location” error when you come across content that are restricted.

You can reset your account in 3 simple steps:

Go to Amazon.sg and click "Sign In".

Key in your email address or mobile number, and you will receive a security code to reset your password.
