What is the IDD 008 service?

StarHub’s IDD (International Direct Dial) 008 is a premium service that offers customer direct, high quality international calls with fast a connection time to more than 230 destinations worldwide.

How do I use the IDD 008 service to make international calls?

To make a voice call using IDD 008, just follow the simple steps below when making an international call from your StarHub Mobile or Digital Voice.


008 > Country Code > Area Code > Telephone Number

How can I register for StarHub's IDD service?

We no longer offer IDD 008 services anymore. Please refer to IDD 018 below for IDD services.

Do I need to pay any registration fees or monthly subscription?

No. Registration is free.

What are the charges for IDD 008 service?

There is no setup or subscription fee and you will be charged for what you use, billed on a per minute basis and at single all-day rates.

How can I be assured that I will be billed accurately for all IDD calls made?

Your bill will list all the overseas calls you have made within the billing cycle. The bill will also show detailed information on the overseas numbers you have called, the call duration of each call and cost incurred for that call.

Date and Time: This is the date / time the call is received / made based on local Singapore time.
Country: This shows the destination of the call.
Tel Number: The telephone number will be listed if available. This is dependent on the roaming partner’s network.
Duration: For calls, this is the duration of your call
Amount: This is the charge based on the published rates on IDD 008/018

I have registered my Singtel Fixed/Singtel Mobile/M1 Mobile line for StarHub's IDD service. How can I de-register StarHub's IDD service?

To de-register, please call 1633 for assistance.

What is IDD 018?

IDD 018 is one of StarHub's International Direct Dial access codes which enables you to make economical outgoing voice calls to destinations overseas.

How does free IDD 018 VAS work?

For customers on $25/$50/$80 SIM Only, $25/$50/$80 SIM Only 1-year, $50/$75/$105 2-year, $55/$80/$110, Mobile+ $65/$95/$155 2-year plan or 4G $55/$75/$110 2-year plan, Lite, XS, S, M, L, XL plan, the IDD 018 calls that you make to any of the 19 destinations will be deducted from the 700 Mins free IDD 018 bundle and the local outgoing airtime from your mobile plan bundle.


For customers on 4G 300M, 4G 3, 4G 4, 4G 6 and 4G 12 Mobile Service Plans, the IDD 018 calls that you make to any of the 19 destinations will be capped to 2000 minutes a month.


Any excess usage will be charged at the prevailing local outgoing airtime and/or IDD 018 rates.

How can I access IDD 018?

You can access the IDD 018 service via the StarHub Mobile (Postpaid), StarHub Prepaid and Digital Voice service.

I am an existing StarHub Mobile customer, am /4G/ PowerValue/ SmartSurf Value Plan customer. Am i eligible to subscribe to the Free IDD 018 VAS?

The Free IDD 018 VAS at $7/month is applicable for StarHub mobile customers on the following mobile plan:

  • Mobile+ $65/$95/$155 (2-year)
  • 4G $55/$75/$110 (2-year)
  • $50/$75/$105 (2-year)

  • $55/$80/$110 (2-year)
  • $25/$50/$80 (SIM Only)
  • $25/$50/$80 (SIM Only 1-year plans)
  • Lite/XS/S/M/L/XL
  • 4G 300M, 4G 3, 4G 4, 4G 5, 4G 6, 4G12

I am a StarHub Mobile (Postpaid)/Digital Voice customer. How will I be billed for my IDD 018 calls?

Your IDD 018 calls charges will be reflected in your monthly StarHub bill for the StarHub Mobile/Digital Voice service.

I have a SharePlus main line and SharePlus child line that are both subscribed to the FREE IDD018 VAS at $7 per month, how does the IDD 018 talktime cap apply to both of my mobile lines?

If you are on the Lite/XS/S/M/L/XL Plans, your IDD 018 talktime will be capped at 700 minutes a month for each individual SharePlus main and child line. If you are on the older plans like 4G 300M, 4G 3, 4G 4, 4G 6, 4G 12 plans, your IDD 018 talktime will be capped at 2000 minutes a month for each individual SharePlus main and child line. Hence the IDD 018 talktime cap will not be shared across the SharePlus main and child lines.

Will my StarHub bill separately reflect the calls made via IDD 008 and IDD 018?

Yes, there will be separate listings for IDD 008 and IDD 018 calls on the bill.

How do I make a call using IDD 018?

Please dial the access code 018 followed by the international telephone number as follows:
018 > Country Code > Area Code (if any) > Telephone Number

How can I check my remaining IDD minutes?

You can check your IDD 018 usage in My StarHub app.

  • Log in with your Hub iD
  • Tap “Mobile”
  • Select the mobile account that has IDD 018
  • On the “Local” tab, tap on the voice usage information (mins) then tap “Okay”
  • You’ll see both your local and IDD usage on the page

Are there any activation/registration charges for IDD 018?

There are no activation/registration charges.

How do I read the charges displayed on my bill?

On your bill, the charges for IDD 008 / 018 will be shown under the Usage section and the charges will be itemised.

E.g.

How do I deactivate my Free IDD 018 service?

You can deactivate your Free IDD 018 service via My StarHub app or My Account.


My StarHub app

  • Log in using your Hub iD
  • Tap “Mobile”, scroll down, then tap “Add-ons”
  • Look for “Other add-ons” and then tap “Manage”
  • Select “FreeIDD018+”, tap “Remove”, review the summary then tap “Submit”


My Account

  • Log in using your Hub iD
  • Select the mobile account with the Free IDD 018 service, then click on “View & Manage”
  • Go to “My Value-Added Services” and click on “Modify”
  • Scroll down to “Add more Value-Added Services”, select Free IDD 018+, and click on “Remove Service”
  • Review the summary and click “Submit"
