Direct Carrier Billing Service is a Collect on Behalf Service offered by StarHub. This service allows StarHub Postpaid Mobile Subscribers to charge their purchases on the Samsung Galaxy Store to their monthly bill.

How do I charge my Samsung Galaxy Store purchases to my StarHub bill?

Simply follow my steps below to charge your Samsung Galaxy Store purchases to your StarHub bill.


1. Select the game or app you want to purchase in the Samsung Galaxy Store.

2. Click on the ‘price’ button to purchase chosen game/app in the App details page.

3. Enter your credentials to sign in to Samsung account once prompt appears on screen. Click ‘Ok’ to login.

4.a. You will now see a popup window with Samsung Checkout information. Select ‘mobile payment’ and you will then be directed to 4.b which shows the list of available payment methods.


4.b. In the payment method page, select ‘Mobile payment’ from the list of payment modes and choose ‘StarHub Payment method’ before you proceed to click on the ‘Pay now’ button to complete your transaction at 4.a.

5. ‘Payment complete’ will be displayed on your screen upon successful purchase of the chosen game/app in the Samsung Galaxy Store.

6. Upon the completion of your purchase, you will receive an SMS notification and an confirmation email to the mailing address linked to your Samsung Account, with the following details in the email:


- Product Details

  (i) Application name

  (ii) Seller


- Payment Details

  (i) Order number

  (ii) Order date

  (iii) Payment method

  (v) Item price

Is Collect on Behalf (or Direct Carrier Billing) Service available to Prepaid or Business customers?

This service is only available to StarHub Mobile Postpaid – Consumer subscribers. It is not available for business customers.

How do I sign up for Samsung Galaxy Store Collect on Behalf (or Direct Carrier Billing)?

No sign-up is required!


1. Simply open the pre-installed Samsung Galaxy Store (ensure it’s updated to the latest app version) and have your Samsung account set up.

2. At the Checkout page, choose “Mobile payment” as your payment method and select “StarHub” as your payment option.


Do note that a valid StarHub postpaid SIM Card is to be used on your device at the point of purchase.

You can purchase any content such as apps, themes, games from the Samsung Galaxy Store using Collect on Behalf (or Direct Carrier Billing) Service.

This Service is governed by StarHub’s service specific terms for Billing and/or Collection on behalf of Third Party Application Stores Service found on StarHub Corporate Website.

It is not available as your mobile service may be barred or blocked from using carrier billing service via .

What is the monthly spending limit and can it be changed?

There is a spending limit of minimum $50 worth in any calendar month and such amount applies to all Application Stores / Service Providers.


This monthly spending limit is determined by StarHub, is FIXED and cannot be changed unless otherwise approved by StarHub. The monthly spending limit will reset on the first day of each calendar month.


If you have reached the designated spending limit, you can switch to alternative payment methods to complete your purchases.

Will I be able to charge my Collect on Behalf (or Direct Carrier Billing) purchases to another StarHub mobile number using the same Samsung Account?

Yes, you can charge to another StarHub mobile number using the same Samsung Account. The StarHub Postpaid SIM card of the corresponding mobile number must be active on the Samsung device.


Do note that the purchase will be associated to the Samsung Account paid by StarHub Postpaid SIM card that is physically inserted into the phone.


Bill Presentation or Charges on StarHub bill

How will the purchase look on my bill?

All charges will appear under the Mobile Service used at the time of purchase. Transactions made via the Samsung Galaxy Store will be reflected under the main section ‘Itemised Usage Details – Collect on Behalf Goods/Services.’

The following transaction details will appear under the sub-section ‘3rd Party Goods Providers’:

  • Date and time of purchase
  • Item description
  • Charges

Will I be charged additional 7% GST on purchases made using Collect on Behalf Service?

StarHub will not charge additional GST on top of the list price.

Other than StarHub Bill, do I receive an invoice or receipt for each purchase from Samsung Galaxy Store as well?

Yes, you will receive an email and SMS notification at the time of purchase. The SMS notification will detail the transaction information such as item name, support contacts, price and the Terms & Conditions.


You can also log in to your Samsung account to check your transaction history.

Switching of Payment Method or Removal of Collect on Behalf Service

Can I switch to an alternate payment method?

Yes. You can switch to another payment method at the time of purchase.

Yes you can! Once you have set up the mobile billing payment option, all purchases made via PC or other Samsung devices logged in with the same Samsung Account will be charged through the Collect on Behalf (or Direct Carrier Billing) service.
