What are DeviceDollars?

DeviceDollars are monthly device credits given to eligible customers on selected 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum Plans. Receive DeviceDollars with each monthly renewal on an eligible plan.

Use your DeviceDollars to offset the upfront or monthly instalment purchase of a new phone, tablet, or wearable.

How do I know the value of DeviceDollars I have in my wallet?

Every DeviceDollar is equivalent to SGD 1.

If you have purchased a device with your 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum Plan on a 12 or 24-month instalment plan, your monthly DeviceDollars will be applied automatically each month to offset your instalment payments."

Who is eligible to receive DeviceDollars?

DeviceDollars are credited to customers who subscribe to eligible 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum Plans upon plan activation and with each monthly renewal.

How many DeviceDollars will I receive?

The amount of DeviceDollars you receive each month will depend on your 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum Plan. Visit here for a detailed breakdown of entitlements.

What eligible devices can I purchase if I want to redeem my DeviceDollars?

DeviceDollars can be used for phones, tablets, and wearables. Accessories are not eligible.

Can I redeem multiple DeviceDollars if I have more than one device?

The total value of all DeviceDollars received across your eligible plans will be used to offset the first device in your account on a monthly instalment plan.

If you have multiple eligible devices, the accumulated amount will offset the first qualified device until fully paid.

What happens if I change my plan after I’ve started receiving DeviceDollars?

If you switch to another 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum Plan, the amount of DeviceDollars you receive each month will be adjusted based on your new plan. You will retain your existing DeviceDollars balance until your credits expire.

If you switch to the 5G Lite Plan that does not have DeviceDollars, the balance in your DeviceDollars wallet will remain valid until expiry, but no new credits will be issued.

What happens if I cancel my plan early?

If you terminate your plan but have other active eligible plans (5G Unlimited+, 5G Platinum, 5G Senior, or Star Plan) under the same account, your DeviceDollars will remain valid until expiry. If there are no active plans, any unused DeviceDollars will be forfeited upon termination.

What happens if I port out to another telco before my Pay Later instalment plan ends?

If you port out before completing your 0% interest pay later instalment plan, you must pay the remaining balance of your device instalment upon termination.

Can I use DeviceDollars if I am already on an existing installment plan before I sign up or switch to a 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum Plan?

No, DeviceDollars are only applicable for new device purchases under eligible 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum Plans. Existing instalment plans are not eligible.

How will I see my redeemed DeviceDollars on my e-receipt?

Pay today:
The amount of DeviceDollars redeemed will be shown in your purchase e-receipt.

Pay later:

Your DeviceDollars redeemed (if any) will be shown in your purchase e-receipt. 
Subsequently, DeviceDollars applied to your monthly instalment payments will appear on your instalment payment receipt under payment information. Your DeviceDollars will be automatically applied each month."

What happens if I upgrade my plan or purchase another device later on?

As long as you are eligible, you may purchase another device via Pay later instalments. Any existing or new DeviceDollars received will be applied to the first device with an active instalment plan on your account. Once that first instalment plan has been paid in full, DeviceDollars will be applied to the next device with an active instalment plan.

Can I withdraw or cash out my unused DeviceDollars?

No, DeviceDollars are not legal tender and cannot be withdrawn or exchanged for cash.

If I did not use DeviceDollars for my device purchase, can I use it for my monthly plan renewal?

No, DeviceDollars can only be used for device purchases (upfront or monthly instalment payments), not for monthly plan renewal payments.

What happens to my DeviceDollars if my plan is suspended?

During temporary service suspension, DeviceDollars are also suspended and will only be available when your plan is reactivated.

Can I transfer my DeviceDollar to another line or account?

No, DeviceDollars are non-transferable and are tied to your Hub ID account.

How long can I accumulate DeviceDollars before they expire?

DeviceDollars are valid for 36 months from the date they were credited to your DeviceDollars wallet. Any unused credits will expire after the validity period.

Do note that your DeviceDollars wallet will be forfeited if you no longer have an active 5G Unlimited+ or Star Plan mobile line.

When will I start receiving DeviceDollars to use for pay later instalment plan?

You'll receive your first month's DeviceDollars upon activation of an eligible 5G mobile plan, with subsequent months DeviceDollars credited upon successful renewal.

If you purchase a device during your sign-up for an eligible plan, your first month's DeviceDollars will be automatically applied at checkout.

How can I use my DeviceDollars?

Use your DeviceDollars to offset the upfront or monthly instalment purchase of a new phone, tablet, or wearable. If you choose Pay later with 0% interest monthly instalments, your DeviceDollars will be automatically applied to your monthly device payments.

Can I use DeviceDollars for my Pay later termination payment?

DeviceDollars can only be used to offset monthly Pay later instalments, or the purchase of devices at checkout. DeviceDollars are ineligible to offset any termination payments, regardless of the termination reasons.

Can I use DeviceDollars to pay for my mobile line, broadband, TV, entertainment or other services?

No, DeviceDollars can only be used for device purchases (upfront or monthly instalment payments) tied to an eligible 5G Unlimited+ or 5G Platinum Plan. They cannot be used for other services.

If I have more than one Pay later instalment plan, can I choose which Pay later plan I want to use my DeviceDollars on?

Your DeviceDollar balance can only be utilitsed by the first Pay later plan purchased during, or after the purchase of your 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum Plan.

Once that first instalment plan has been paid in full, DeviceDollars will be applied to the next device with an active instalment plan.

Can I pause, or stop paying my Pay later instalments with DeviceDollars?

At the moment, opting out is not available. DeviceDollars will be automatically applied to your eligible monthly instalment payments.

Can the expiry of DeviceDollars be extended?

No, DeviceDollars have a fixed validity period of 36 months from when they were credited. This cannot be extended.

Is there any maximum limit to the amount of DeviceDollars I can accumulate?

There is no cap to the amount of DeviceDollars you can receive. Do keep in mind that your DeviceDollars will expire 36 months from the date they were credited.

How do I check my DeviceDollars balance?

You can check your DeviceDollars balance via the Perks section of the StarHub app. We will notifiy you via the StarHub app whenever you receive or redeem DeviceDollars. Your purchase or instalment payment e-receipts will also reflect any DeviceDollars applied.

Please note that you will only start seeing any DeviceDollars details after you activate a valid 5G Unlimited + / 5G Platinum Plan that awards DeviceDollars.

What is the conversion rate for DeviceDollars if i want to purchase a new device?

Every DeviceDollar is equivalent to SGD 1.

Do you have birthday rewards for DeviceDollars?

At the moment, DeviceDollars can only be earned when you purchase or successfully renew your 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum Plan each month.

Birthday month treats are not linked to DeviceDollars.

Are we able to use Hub Club Go benefits and DeviceDollars together?

HubClub Go benefits are not applicable to 5G Unlimited+, 5G Platinum, Senior and Data Only plans.

StarHub Dollars

What are StarHub Dollars?

StarHub Dollars are credits in your StarHub app wallet that you can use for payment during plan renewal or for add-on purchases.

They can only be used for purchases for Star Plan, 5G Unlimited+, 5G Platinum, Senior and Data Only plans.

What can I use StarHub Dollars for?

You can use StarHub Dollars to pay for your Star Plan, 5G Unlimited+, 5G Platinum, Senior and Data Only plan renewal or add-on purchases.

How do I top up my StarHub Dollars?

You can top-up your StarHub Dollars with your debit/credit card. Proceed to the top-up link, select 'Top up', and follow the on-screen flow.

Can I get a refund if I topped up too much StarHub Dollars?

Successful top-ups to your StarHub wallet are non-refundable. You can use the remaining StarHub Dollars for your future plan renewals or add-on purchases.

Do StarHub Dollars expire?

StarHub Dollars do not expire as long as your mobile service remains active.

What happens to my StarHub Dollars if my Star Plan / 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum plans are terminated?

There will be no refund for StarHub Dollars if your Star Plan, 5G Unlimited+, 5G Platinum, Senior and Data-only plan is terminated.

Can I use my StarHub Dollars to pay for my StarHub Postpaid mobile bill?

StarHub Dollars can only be used to pay for your Star Plan, 5G Unlimited+, 5G Platinum, Senior and Data-only plan renewal or add-on purchases.

Can I set StarHub Dollars as the default payment mode for my Star Plan / 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum plans renewal and purchases?

If you have an existing credit balance (Bonus Dollars or StarHub Dollars) available, your payments will be deducted in the following order:

1) Bonus Dollars
2) StarHub Dollars
3) Debit/Credit card

Can I transfer StarHub Dollars to another Star Plan / 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum plans number?

Yes, you can transfer your StarHub Dollars to another active Star Plan, 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum Plan mobile number.

Will I get e-receipts for StarHub Dollar transfers?

There are no e-receipts for StarHub Dollar transfers, but you can view all transaction records under 'Activity' in the StarHub app.

Bonus Dollars

What are Bonus Dollars? Where do I get them? Where can I use them?

Bonus Dollars are promotional credits that can be used for plan renewals or add-on purchases, similar to StarHub Dollars.

Do Bonus Dollars expire?

Yes, Bonus Dollars are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.

Can I exchange my Bonus Dollars for cash?

Bonus Dollars cannot be withdrawn or exchanged for cash. You can use them for your monthly renewal payments or add-on purchases.
