What is the 2026 FA Community Shield?

The FA Community Shield is the annual football match that pits the previous season's Premier League champions against the winners of the Emirates FA Cup. Traditionally regarded as the curtain-raiser to the English football season, it marks the official start of the domestic campaign. 


This year, Arsenal will face Manchester City in the 2026 FA Community Shield. The match will be played at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on 16 August 2026, with the fixture temporarily moved from Wembley Stadium due to venue availability.

What is the Emirates FA Cup Season?

The Football Association Challenge Cup, known as the FA Cup (or the Emirates FA Cup since 2015), is an annual knockout football competition in domestic English football. English teams across the different leagues, including the teams in the Premier League, take part in the Emirates FA Cup.

When does the Emirates FA Cup start?

The Emirates FA Cup First Round begins in November 2026. The first broadcast of the event will start from the Third Round on 7 November 2026.

How do I watch the the Emirates FA Cup?

The Emirates FA Cup will be broadcasted on Hub Sports channels. More details of the Emirates FA Cup broadcast from the Third Round will be provided later.
