Can I switch my current mobile line to a Star Plan?

Yes! Switching to any Star Plan from your existing prepaid mobile line is easy - just a few taps away on our StarHub App.

How do I upgrade to Star Plan?

Simply log on to StarHub App and tap "More". Select "Switch to Star Plan" and follow the steps.

How will I know if my request to switch to Star Plan is successful?

You'll get an SMS and notification on the StarHub App once your request submission is successful. This request should be completed within minutes.

How long does it take to switch to Star Plan?

The switch to Star Plan will be completed within a few minutes once the request submission is successful.

Do I need a new SIM card to enjoy Star Plan?

You can enjoy Star Plan without changing the SIM Card. However, do get a 5G SIM card via the StarHub App if you don't already have one.

What will happen to my add-on services and Value Added Services (VAS) after switching to Star Plan?

Star Plan offers its dedicated range of attractive add-ons and value-added services. The add-on services and VAS that are part of your Prepaid mobile line will not be added to your Star Plan when you switch.

Do I need to change my APN to enjoy Star Plan?

You can continue to use the existing APN "SHPPD" on Star Plan. However, please change your APN settings to "SHWAP" in order to enjoy roaming services.

What will happen to my prepaid credits and plan entitlements after switching to Star Plan?

The credit in your main wallet will be transferred to Star Plan after the switch. You can use these credit for future payments. We strongly recommend fully utilising the data, talktime and SMSes in your Prepaid plan before switching to Star Plan. The remaining entitlements will not be transferred to the new Star Plan.

My Prepaid SIM is registered under someone else who previously passed the SIM card to me. How can I switch my prepaid service to Star Plan?

Log in to StarHub App, choose "Switch to Star Plan" and follow the steps. You will need to submit your ID for verification purposes so that we can switch the plan under your name and account.

My prepaid service is currently suspended due to credit expiry. How can I switch to Star Plan?

You can switch to Star Plan after resuming your service. Simply top up your Prepaid mobile line, log in to StarHub App and tap "More" here. Select "Switch to Star Plan" and follow the steps.

Rest assured that the credit in your main wallet will be transferred to Star Plan after the switch. You can use these credit for future payments.

My switch to Star Plan was unsuccessful. What should I do now?

Your switch to Star Plan will be processed within few minutes of successful submission. In the unlikely event that the switch to Star Plan is not completed within 30 minutes, please chat with us here for assistance.

I changed my mind and I want to retain my StarHub Prepaid Mobile service. Can I cancel my request to switch to Star Plan?
