No, ScamSafe requires the app to be downloaded and installed on your device to function effectively.

11
Why ScamSafe ask me for so many app permissions?

ScamSafe requests for app permissions from Android users to provide full range of product features. For example, we request you to set ScamSafe as the default call app to identify incoming calls faster and ensure phone number blocking works correctly. We request for SMS permission to enable SMS source identification.

A scope of the application of each permission requested will be provided to you beforehand. You may cancel or refuse to grant such permissions at any time if you do not accept how we collect, process and use your data, but you will not be able to enjoy the full range of product features afterwards.

In addition, due to system restriction, we only request for permission to use APNs from iOS users.

12
Why is my number of the information displayed in ScamSafe?

ScamSafe is a public number identification platform. The sources include community reports, internet search results,  yellow pages and the government.

13

ScamSafe is currently designed for use within Singapore and may have limited functionality outside the region.

14

15
Can I add more than 1 call blocking application at the same time?

While it is technically possible to install multiple call-blocking applications, we recommend using only one at a time to avoid potential conflicts or performance issues. Running multiple call-blocking apps simultaneously may cause confusion in call identification or blocking functionality. ScamSafe provides comprehensive scam and spam protection, so there’s no need for additional apps.

16
Why is Caller Number Display (CND) required for ScamSafe to work properly?

ScamSafe relies on detecting the caller’s phone number in order to analyze and assign a risk label (e.g. scam, spam, or safe). If the customer has not subscribed to Caller Number Display or the caller uses a private or withheld number, ScamSafe will not be able to identify the caller or provide any risk information.
