Who is eligible for Traveler eSIM?

All visitors aged 18 and above travelling to Singapore are eligible! If you own an eSIM-supported device and would like to get connected on a short-term mobile plan, you're welcome to sign up for a Traveler eSIM plan.

*Please note that due to local country regulations, credit cards issued in India are currently not able to make payment through StarHub app. Please use an alternative credit card for payment if available.

What documents do I need to provide to purchase Traveler eSIM Plan?

To ensure a smooth process in purchasing the Traveler eSIM, you will need to have your passport ready for digital ID verification which can be completed in the StarHub app.

How do I download and install my Traveler eSIM using StarHub app?

If you've purchased the Traveler eSIM on StarHub.com, a QR code will be be sent to your email. Simply follow the instructions in the email to install and activate the eSIM on your mobile device.

Do make sure your phone is eSIM compatible before scanning the QR code. See our list of supported eSIM phones here.

What should I do if I fail to download the Traveler eSIM?

If you're having trouble downloading the Traveler eSIM, make sure the eSIM QR code has not been used before. Give it a few minutes or try scanning the QR code in a less crowded area.

I did not receive the email containing the QR code for my Traveler eSIM. What should I do?

The email with the QR code for the Traveler eSIM activation may take up to 5 minutes to be delivered to your inbox.

If you still have not received it, you can request for it to be re-sent to your email address. 

Go to StarHub app:

  • Select "More" on the home screen​.
  • Go to"eSIM QR Manager" under Mobile services.
  • Click on it to manage your eSIM​.
  • Please make sure your device is connected to the internet via WiFi or mobile connection.

I have lost my Traveler eSIM QR Code. What should I do?

You can request for your Traveler eSIM to be re-sent to your email address. Go to StarHub app:

  • Go to""eSIM QR Manager"" under Mobile services. 
  • Click on it to manage your eSIM​. 

For this step, do make sure your device is connected to the internet through WiFi or mobile connection.

I have downloaded the Traveler eSIM can't I surf the internet or make call with it?

If you've downloaded the Traveler eSIM in your home country, keep in mind that you'll need to be in Singapore to activate the service.

How do I activate my Traveler eSIM?

For a seamless experience, ensure that you are connected correctly to the StarHub mobile network upon your arrival in Singapore. This will automatically activate the Traveler eSIM mobile service.

I accidentally deleted the Traveler eSIM from my device. What should I do now?

You can scan the same Traveler eSIM QR code you received earlier from StarHub.

If you do not have your QR code, you can request it to be re-sent to your email address. Go to StarHub app:

  • Select "More" on the home screen​​
  • Go to"eSIM QR Manager" under Mobile services. 
  • Click on it to manage your eSIM

For this step, do make sure your device is connected to the internet through WiFi or mobile connection.

Can I switch the Traveler eSIM to another device?

To switch your Traveler eSIM to another device, follow these steps:

  • Make sure both your old and new devices have internet connection.
  • Remove the Traveler eSIM from your device.
  • Wait for 5-10 minutes.
  • Scan the QR Code you received earlier from StarHub.

Unable to find the QR code? No worries! You can request for it to be re-sent to your email address. Go to StarHub app.

  • Select "More" on the home screen​​.
  • Go to"eSIM QR Manager" under Mobile services. 
  • Click on it to manage your eSIM.

For this step, do make sure your device is connected to the internet through WiFi or mobile connection.

The 14-day validity period has ended. Can I purchase Traveler eSIM again?

You will receive reminder notifications on StarHub app 3 days before, as well as on the last day before your Traveler eSIM plan expires. This will give you ample time to purchase a new 14-day plan and continue enjoying our services after your current plan expires.

What happens after my Traveler eSIM Plan has expired?

You can purchase a new Traveler eSIM plan at any time, whether it's before or after your current plan expires.
