There are no fees if you are already out of contract or eligible to recontract.

Who is eligible to buy the Samsung Galaxy S26 Series?

Singapore Citizens and residents with valid passes above 18 years old are eligible to purchase.

Singapore citizens, PRs, ONE Pass and Employment Pass holders are eligible to enjoy monthly instalment payments (Pay Later) on a new device. You must be subscribed to, signing up for, or switching to a 5G Unlimited+ / 5G Platinum Plan. Other eligibility checks apply.

You can purchase online here or on the StarHub app or head to any StarHub shop ! Stocks are subject to availability, on a first-come-first-serve basis.

I already have an ongoing EasyGo instalment with my SIM Only plan. Can I purchase the new Samsung Galaxy S26 Series with 5G Unlimited+ / Platinum Plan and choose to pay later?

Yes. As long as you have both your existing SIM Only plan and a new 5G Unlimited+/5G Platinum Plan, you can have both an EasyGo and a pay later instalment plan at the same time, subject to eligibility.

Please note that if you wish to switch your existing SIM Only plan to a 5G Unlimited+ or 5G Platinum Plan, you will need to pay the remainder of your EasyGo payment in full before switching.

Yes! If you are already on our no-contract 5G Unlimited+ or 5G Platinum Plans you can proceed to buy your new Samsung Galaxy device.

Yes, you can opt for Self Pick Up at your selected StarHub shop when completing your purchase.

If you're unable to pick up your device at the selected date/time, please visit the store at your earliest convenience within the next 14 days. After this period, your order may be cancelled

Yes, you fully own your device.

During the upgrade window (when the next generation of Samsung Galaxy S Series launches until 31 March 2027), you may choose to:
• Upgrade your device and receive the guaranteed trade-in value
• Or keep the phone—the choice is yours.

Can I upgrade any phone to enjoy this trade-in value?

No. Only your Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, S26+ or S26 purchased from StarHub and registered with SmartSupport (with a continuous subscription from purchase till upgrade) is eligible for this program.

The device must:

• Be in Good Working condition.*
• Be factory reset.
• Have a matching IMEI number as registered at the point of purchase.

*Good Working Condition: The device is fully functional, with some minor wear and tear.

When can I proceed to upgrade my Samsung Galaxy S26 Series after purchasing my new device from StarHub?

You can choose to upgrade to the next generation of Samsung Galaxy S Series from it's official launch date, up until 31 March 2028. To be eligible, your new Samsung device must be purchased from StarHub during the qualifying period.

Please note that the device value used for the upgrade may vary over time.

How do I proceed to upgrade my Samsung Galaxy S26 Series?
  • Purchase the next generation of Samsung Galaxy S Series from StarHub.
  • Log in to the SmartSupport Portal and submit your upgrade request.
  • Select the device you wish to trade in.
  • Upload the receipt of your new device purchase (refer to the next FAQ for receipt requirements).
  • Indicate the condition of your device.
  • Review the trade-in quote provided before submitting the request.
  • Once you accept the quote, our team will verify your submission and receipt. We will then contact you to arrange a device pick-up.
  • After collection, payment will be transferred to your PayNow account within 2 business days.


*Before handing over your device, please remember to back up your device data, factory reset your device and deactivate any device locks

What is the receipt requirement?

To complete the upgrade process, you must submit the purchase receipt for the next-generation Galaxy S Series which meets the following criteria: 

  • The receipt must be issued by one of the following:
    • StarHub retail shop
    • StarHub online store
    • StarHub Exclusive Partners
  • The receipt must include the purchased device's Make, Model, Capacity, Color, IMEI, and the date of purchase.
  • The receipt must be for the latest Galaxy S Series (after Galaxy S26 Series) and dated on or before 31 March 2027.

What happens during the pick up of your device?
  • A specialist will verify your device’s condition.
  • If it matches your declared condition, your device will be collected.
  • If the conditions differ, a non-good working condition fee of $280 will apply and offset against total trade-in value.
  • You can accept or reject the revised quote. There’s no obligation to proceed.

My phone is damaged. Am I still eligible? 

Yes, a non-good working condition fee applies if the device has: 

  • Discoloured, cracked or damaged body/glass
  • Display issues (burn-in, bleeding, dead pixels)
  • Impaired functionality
  • Non-genuine parts or missing components
  • A swollen battery
  • Liquid damage or a bent/broken frame
  • Fails to power on or charge
  • Been subject to modification
  • Damaged connectors or a faulty SIM reader

If your device falls under any of the above conditions, a non-good working condition fee of $280 will apply and offset against total trade-in value.

What should I do before trading in my phone?
  • Disable any personal lock and security features such as SmartThings Find.
  • Factory reset your device to erase all personal data.
  • Remove any SIM and memory cards.

What if I’ve swapped or replaced my Samsung Galaxy S26 Series through SmartSupport or in warranty swap?

Yes, you’re still eligible for the guaranteed trade-in value. If your device has been swapped/replaced by the manufacturer (OEM), simply update your new IMEI in the SmartSupport portal and upload the service request form you received from the OEM.

What happens to my upgrade feature if I recontract my mobile plan?

Your upgrade feature will remain valid as long as your SmartSupport subscription is still active and linked to the device that you registered with (via its IMEI).

What if I cancel my SmartSupport subscription?

If SmartSupport is cancelled, your guaranteed trade-in value feature will be terminated.

Please note that this feature cannot be reinstated once the SmartSupport subscription has been cancelled.

When will I receive my payment via PayNow?

• Payments are processed within 2 business days from the date your device is collected.
•  Your PayNow payment will be sent to the mobile number linked to your SmartSupport enrolment.
•  If you prefer to use a different PayNow mobile number, you may provide it when you arrange the device return.
