What is Viu Premium?

Viu is a localised, legal digital platform, providing online video content in the Asia-Pacific region. Viu provides premium Asian content from Korea, Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong, China, and Taiwan – with English & Chinese subtitles (for selected titles). Simulcast drama and variety series are available, from as fast as 8 hours after their original telecast for Viu Premium members.

How do I subscribe to Viu Premium?

You can sign up for StarHub TV+ with Asian+ Pass to enjoy complimentary access to Viu Premium. For current promotions, please visit here.


Existing StarHub TV+ customers can add the Asian+ Pass via My StarHub App to enjoy complimentary access to Viu Premium.


Once the Asian+ Pass is successfully activated, you will receive an SMS or email notification for the Viu Premium access.

I am an existing Asian+ Pass subscriber. How and when can I enjoy Viu Premium?

For existing Asian+ Pass subscribers, we are working on enabling your access to enjoy Viu Premium progressively in the month of May. You will receive an SMS or email notification once your access has been enabled.

Where can I access Viu?

Is activation required for Viu Premium and is there any expiry period?

You can activate your complimentary Viu Premium using your Hub iD as soon as you receive the SMS or email notifying you that your access has been enabled. Just ensure that you have an active subscription to Asian+ Pass.

How do I log in to Viu with my Hub iD to enjoy Viu Premium?

I am an existing Viu Premium subscriber. How can I enjoy Viu Premium access from StarHub with my Asian+ Pass subscription?

If you are an existing Viu Premium subscriber, you will need to create a new Viu account with a different email address or social login method (e.g. Facebook login) after logging in with your Hub iD.

How many devices can I stream Viu Premium at the same time?

As a Viu Premium member, you can stream on any 3 devices (phone, tablet or TV) and 1 PC at the same time.

Can I download movies and shows with Viu Premium?

Yes, you can enjoy unlimited downloads with Viu Premium. Simply click on the â sign on the right of each video to start downloading.

Will mobile data charges apply when I stream Viu Premium?

Do note that any mobile data used while streaming Viu Premium will be deducted from your data allowance bundle. A friendly tip: use your home Wi-Fi to stream to avoid data bill shock, or you can download your favourite shows onto your mobile devices to watch on-the-go without an Internet connection.

Is there restricted content for Viu Premium?

Yes, there are selected content on Viu with the following content classifications:


• General - Suitable for all ages.

• Parental Guidance (PG) - Suitable for all, but parents should guide their young.

• Parental Guidance 13 (PG13) - Suitable for persons aged 13 and above but parental guidance is advised for children below 13.

• No Children Under 16 (NC16) - Suitable for persons aged 16 and above.

• Mature 18 (M18) - Suitable for persons aged 18 and above

• Restricted 21 (R21) - Restricted to persons aged 21 and above.

As a parent, how can I ensure that it is safe for my kids to stream on Viu?

Parents can set up a Parental Controls Lock with a 4-digit PIN so that children cannot view the restricted content without your permission. For more information, please click here.

Can I use Viu Premium outside of Singapore?

As Viu SG contents are only accessible within Singapore, you will not be able to access it outside of the region or overseas.

How do I access Viu on the StarHub TV+ Box?

First, you will need to activate your Viu Premium complimentary access using your Hub iD on the Viu mobile app.


Thereafter, you can access the Viu app on the StarHub TV+ Box by following these steps here.

I’m encountering problem with using the Viu app, what should I do?

What will happen to my Viu Premium complimentary access if I remove my Asian+ pass?

Unfortunately, your Viu Premium complimentary access with StarHub will be terminated as well.

What will happen to my Viu Premium complimentary access if I transfer the ownership of my StarHub TV+ service?

Unfortunately, your Viu Premium complimentary access with StarHub will be terminated as well.

What will happen to my Viu Premium complimentary access if I suspend my StarHub TV+ service?

Your Viu Premium complimentary access with StarHub will be paused and you will need to re-log in with your Hub iD once your StarHub TV+ service is reactivated.
