Why is Broadband Shield sunsetting?
At StarHub, we continually evaluate our services to ensure they meet customer needs and align with market trends. After a recent evaluation, we’ve decided to focus on developing new services that better reflect the changing landscape and customer preferences. As a result, we will be sunsetting Broadband Shield and transitioning our efforts to more relevant offerings.
When is Broadband Shield sunsetting?
Broadband Shield will cease on 27 March 2025, 00:00.
When will the Broadband Shield management portal be disabled?
The portal will be disabled from 27 March 2025. Kindly download any existing reports in the management portal before the cessation date.
What is the alternative to Broadband Shield?
If you are looking for an alternative to replace the Broadband Shield, you may wish to consider subscribing to CyberProtect.
What is CyberProtect?
CyberProtect is an advanced endpoint protection solution designed to safeguard personal devices such as laptops, smartphones, and workstations. It protects against threats like malware, phishing, and ransomware by deploying security software on your devices.
It also offers powerful features like real-time threat detection, behavioral analysis, and data encryption, providing you with comprehensive security.
How much does CyberProtect cost?
As a gesture of support, we are offering affected customers three free months of CyberProtect. Kindly check your email for the promo code to use at check out.
After the first three months, a monthly subscription fee of $5.08 with GST will apply.
How will my bill be impacted?
From 27 March 2025, your bill will reflect the discontinuation of Broadband Shield or Broadband Shield Plus. If applicable, a pro-rated adjustment for Broadband Shield Plus subscription fee will be included in your next bill.
If you choose to subscribe to CyberProtect, the subscription fee will be charged to the credit card linked to your StarHub personal account. Please note that this fee will not be included in the monthly bill associated with your Business Broadband account.
How do I sign up for CyberProtect?
You can sign up CyberProtect through StarHub app. Please follow the steps below:
Step 1:
Download StarHub App from Apple App Store or Google Play.
Step 2:
If you do not have a Hub iD yet, create one using a company email address. Otherwise, skip to Step 3.
Note: We recommend that you use a common administrative email address representing your company, so you can add as many licenses as you require under the same account.
- Launch StarHub App.
- When you reach “Don’t have an account yet?”, select Sign up here.
- Enter company’s email address and password, click Sign up button.
Step 3:
Sign up CyberProtect in StarHub App.
- Launch StarHub app.
- Log in with the email & password created.
- Select SafeHub+ from the menu.
- Under the SafeHub+ page, select CyberSecurity.
- Select Manage & Info of the plan that you want to sign up.
- Select Subscribe.
- Select the number of subscriptions that you require and click Checkout.
- Enter Promo Code if any, and select Pay & Place order.
- Enter credit card information and select Proceed to pay.
