What is Starter+ Pass?

The Starter+ Pass offers an on-demand entertainment experience which includes the latest Asian dramas and variety programmes, classic Hong Kong movies starring all-time favourite actors, BBC First dramas with high production value, award-winning documentaries from Curiosity Stream and much more.


Starter+ Pass is currently only available for StarHub TV+ with a 24-month contract. For more information, please visit starhub.com/starterplus.

Can I subscribe to additional StarHub TV+ Passes with Starter+ Pass?

Starter+ Pass is mutually exclusive with the other StarHub TV+ Passes (Entertainment+ / Asian+ / Malay+ / Indian+ / Filipino+ / Sports+), so you will not be able to subscribe to them at the same time.

Can I subscribe to additional Add-On Channels / Packs / Apps with Starter+ Pass?

What is the difference between Starter+ Pass and Starter (previously Go Select)?

How do I view my content for Starter+ Pass?

You can view your Starter+ Pass content via www.starhubtvplus.com or download the StarHub TV+ app from App Store or Google Play. Simply log in with your Hub iD and scroll down on the Home screen to locate Starter+. To get a Hub iD, please visit this link.


A set-top box is optional, and you may choose to rent a StarHub TV+ Box anytime during your contract. However, do note that each StarHub TV+ box will have its individual 12-month commitment with a Tiered Early Termination Charge (ETC) of $5 (inclusive of GST) x remaining months.

What is the minimum Internet connection speed required for Starter+ Pass?

A high-speed Internet connection of at least 6Mbps is required. We recommend at least 10Mbps for an optimal viewing experience.

How many devices can I log in with my Hub iD to watch StarHub TV+?

You can register up to a maximum of 5 devices and stream on 2 devices at any one time.


If you have rented a StarHub TV+ box, it will have its own dedicated streaming capacity and will not count towards the limit of 5 devices.

What is the maximum number of StarHub TV+ boxes I can rent for StarHub TV+?

Each StarHub TV+ subscription will support a maximum of 4 StarHub TV+ boxes. You may want to consider taking up an additional StarHub TV+ subscription if you require more than 4 StarHub TV+ boxes.

I am subscribed to Starter+ Pass with a 24-month contract. Can I switch to Entertainment+ during my contract period and will I be charged with any Early Termination Charges (ETCs)?

Yes, you can switch to any StarHub TV+ Pass(es) during your contract period without incurring any Early Termination Charges (ETCs). Do note that charges will be pro-rated accordingly and you will need to remove your Starter+ Pass before proceeding.

Why am I unable to switch Pass during the first month when I subscribed to Starter+ Pass?

The switching of Passes is only available from the second calendar month onwards upon service activation.

How many times can I switch my current Starter+ Pass to a different Pass?

The switching of Passes is allowed once in a calendar month. This means you can switch once from the start of the calendar month any time you wish. However, if you try to switch more than once, you will be prompted with an error message that you have switched more than once, and you will not be able to proceed.

Do I need to be a StarHub Fibre Broadband customer in order to enjoy Starter+ Pass?

No, you do not need to be a StarHub Fibre Broadband customer to enjoy Starter+ Pass. It is designed to work with any Internet connection regardless of the Internet service provider.


However, if you want to watch Mediacorp local free-to-air channels, you will need to either:

(a) rent a StarHub TV+ Box and subscribe to StarHub Fibre Broadband (under the same billing account and service address) with a compatible StarHub type-approved router; or

(b) upgrade to a HomeHub+ bundle.

Will I be able to record my favourite programmes?

No, the Smart TV Value-Added Service (VAS) for recording will not be available for StarHub TV+. Instead, we have introduced the new Time-Shift TV feature for you to catch up your favourite programmes within the last 24 hours for selected channels at no additional cost.

Will I be able to stream content outside of Singapore?

You will only be able to stream content for StarHub TV+ within Singapore.

Will Starter+ Pass subscribers be eligible for Hub Club Go Membership?

Yes, Starter+ Pass subscribers will be eligible for Hub Club Go Membership as 1 TV service.

What will happen to my Starter+ Pass if I suspend my StarHub TV+ service?

You will not be able to view content under your Starter+ Pass if your StarHub TV+ service is suspended. You can resume viewing once your StarHub TV+ service is resumed.

What will happen to my Starter+ Pass if I transfer the ownership of my StarHub TV+ service?

You will not be able to view content under your Starter+ Pass once your StarHub TV+ service is transferred to another customer.
