Prepaid Mobile Value-Added Services
4G LTE and 3G DC-HSPA+ are known as 4th Generation Long Term Evolution and 3rd Generation Dual Cell High-Speed Packet Access Plus, respectively. 4G LTE and 3G DC-HSPA+ offer peak download speed of up to 75Mbps and 42Mbps, respectively. Both networks enable customers to enjoy bandwidth intensive content such as mobile TV, video and music streaming, cloud services and social networking, among others.
Customer will require a LTE or DC-HSPA+ mobile device and Prepaid 4G Booster plan to enjoy the service. For example, to enjoy 4G LTE service, customer will need to have a LTE handset or LTE dongle and activate a 4G Booster via *123*3*4# via their prepaid mobile.
In areas where 4G LTE has not been deployed, users will be seamlessly switched to DC-HSPA+ or 3G connectivity.
When you are connected on 4G LTE network, your mobile will show “4G” or “LTE” while DC-HSPA+ connection, it will show you “H+” or “3G”.
Current 4G smartphones or devices only initiate change from 3G to 4G during idling stage. If you are currently streaming video via 3G network, you will automatically be switched to 4G when you had finished your video session.
On your device, under settings > mobile networks/data, ensure that the Access Point Name (APN) “shppd” is selected. Once the APN is selected correctly, you should be able to logon to 4G network.
Happy Transfer FAQ
Happy Transfer allows StarHub prepaid subscribers to transfer prepaid talktime to another StarHub prepaid mobile and other Prepaid Mobile network operators overseas (selected networks only)
Note: Happy Transfer is currently available to StarHub Mobile Prepaid subscribers.
Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam.
For transfer to a StarHub prepaid number: dial *123*5*5*2#
For transfer to an overseas prepaid number: dial *123*5*5*1#
To transfer local airtime, please ensure that you have minimum $2.05 main wallet balance. The lowest amount available is $2 and there’s a 5¢ service fee per transaction.
No service fee to transfer international airtime. Just ensure you have enough main wallet balance for the chosen denomination.
International Transfer: You can transfer up to SGD$500 worth of talktime each month.
Local transfer: Capped at 5 transactions per day OR $100 per calendar month for requester
Only the cost of the talktime that you wish to transfer will be deducted from your account. For transfers to a StarHub prepaid number, an additional transaction charge of 5 cents per transaction will be imposed.
There are no other surcharges for talktime transfers made using Happy Transfer.
For transfers to a StarHub prepaid number, the talktime will be in Singapore dollar and inside the bonus wallet. The value in the bonus wallet will expire in 30 days from date of transfer.
For transfers to an overseas prepaid mobile number, the talktime that you wish to send them will be converted into the amount worth of airtime of the country that they are in.
You paid SGD$2.70 worth of talktime to send to a friend in Malaysia. He/she will receive RM5 worth of talktime into his prepaid mobile balance.
You will receive a confirmation SMS once the talktime you are transferring is received by the person you are sending it to. The SMS will display the amount deducted from your account (in SGD) and the amount of talktime received by the person you to wish sent.
He/she will receive an SMS notification detailing how much talktime was transferred and which StarHub Mobile Prepaid number the international talktime was sent from.

Happy Xtra Introduction
It is a new mobile service for StarHub Prepaid Mobile customers, who will receive these benefits when their wallet balance falls to $0.22 (only upon request):
- 2 minutes of local outgoing airtime
- 10 local outgoing SMS
When the prepaid system detects that your wallet balance has fallen to $0.22 or less, you will automatically receive an SMS notification via your StarHub Prepaid Mobile line. The SMS will include instructions on how to redeem the free minutes and SMS.
Once you receive the free minutes and SMS, you will be able to make 2 minutes of local calls and send 10 SMSes for the next 3 days. After which, all unused minutes and SMS will expire and unused Happy Xtra balances will be forfeited.
All customers with valid StarHub Prepaid lines are eligible for this service.
No, as Happy Xtra benefits are available only once per top-up of minimum $10. You may request for it again after your next top-up.
Free IDD 018 to 19 Countries Introduction
To enjoy this promotion, just use your StarHub Mobile Postpaid or Happy Prepaid phone to dial "018", followed by the Country Code, Area Code and the telephone number of your intended recipient.
For example, if you are dialling to Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), you will need to key in, "018 60 3", followed by the telephone number.
The promotion is valid till further notice.
Eligibility of Inbound Travellers
No. The IDD 018 promotion applies to only StarHub Mobile Postpaid (except PowerValue plans) and Happy Prepaid customers. To enjoy this promotion, please purchase a StarHub Prepaid SIM card.

No, as calls made overseas to local numbers within that particular country using your StarHub Mobile phone will be considered roaming calls as well.

Yes. You will enjoy up to a maximum of 60 days regardless of the number of top-ups you made during this period. This works out to a maximum of three activations.
Example: You performed 4 top-ups ($18) in a single day. You are only entitled 3 times capping, which is 60 days of free incoming calls, so the next 20 days will be forfeited.
You will only enjoy the 20-Day Free Incoming Calls entitlements up to a maximum of three times (accumulating up to 60 days). The excess will be forfeited.
You will enjoy the 20-Day Free Incoming Calls after the 30-Day Free Incoming Calls with Happy Stars expires.
The 30-Day Free Incoming Calls with Happy Stars will take precedence. After this expires, Free Incoming Calls will continue for another 20 days.

Cessation of Voicemail
We are continuously reviewing our services and with the declining usage of voicemail service, we will be discontinuing the below voicemail services:

The voicemail service will be discontinued from 30 November 2021.
Not to worry, no action is required by you. However, kindly note that any saved voicemail messages will be deleted.
The current retention period for voicemail messages is up to 7 days depending on the voice plan that you are subscribed to.
