What is the Contract-free Fibre Broadband plan?
The Contract-free Fibre Broadband plan is a no-strings-attached 1Gbps Fibre Broadband
service plan offered by StarHub. It is a standalone service, unlike HomeHub or HubBundle,
and there is no contractual obligation.
Who is eligible to sign up for the Contract-free Fibre Broadband plan?
All new and existing StarHub customers without a Broadband, HomeHub, or HubBundle
contract can sign up for the Contract-free Fibre Broadband plan.
If you have an existing standalone StarHub Broadband plan, you can sign up for the
Contract-free Fibre Broadband plan after completing 24 months of your contract.
How do I sign up for the Contract-free Fibre Broadband plan?
What are the benefits and features of the Contract-free Fibre Broadband plan?
The Contract-free Fibre Broadband plan provides more flexibility, allowing you to have a
broadband service without being tied into a contract. It is particularly beneficial for new
customers who are undecided which broadband plan to choose, like foreigners who have
just arrived in Singapore.
You can also upgrade to any contract plan anytime to enjoy additional perks.
How much do I have to pay for the Contract-free Fibre Broadband plan?
You can sign up for the Contract-free Fibre Broadband plan at $54.90 per month. A service
installation fee of $90 applies.
For new customers, there is a prevailing service activation fee of $56.71 from Netlink Trust.
If your home does not have a termination point (TP) and needs installation, the installation
fees below from Netlink Trust will apply:
• High-rise: $160.50
• Landed: $288.90
You can also choose to add on mesh routers at a unit price of $120 for Smart WiFi, $192 for
Smart WiFi MX2, or $288 for Smart WiFi Pro to ensure the best WiFi coverage.
Can I terminate my subscription anytime? Will I incur charges?
There will be no early termination charges since there is no contract. However, a
cancellation fee of $53.50 (with GST) will apply if you terminate your subscription within the
first 3 months of service activation. Termination of broadband plan will also incur $32.10
Can I downgrade my Contract-free Fibre Broadband plan to a lower speed plan?
The Contract-free Fibre Broadband plan is 1Gbps and the only no contract plan that StarHub
offers for Broadband service.
If you wish to downgrade to the 500Mbps Fibre Broadband plan with a 24-month contract,
the following charges will apply:
• Cancellation fee of $53.50 (if you downgraded within the first 3 months of service
• Downgrade fee of $32.10
I have an existing broadband plan with a contract. Can I switch to the 1Gbps Contract-free Fibre Broadband plan?
Existing customers with standalone Fibre Broadband plans who have completed 24 months
of a contract are eligible to switch to the Contract-free Fibre Broadband plan.
Can I purchase routers? What are the available routers?
You can purchase mesh routers at the following unit prices, inclusive of GST:
• $120 (Smart WiFi)
• $192 (Smart WiFi MX2)
• $288 (Smart WiFi Pro)
You can visit any of our StarHub Shops (Plaza Singapura, Tampines, Nex, and Jurong Point) to
purchase. Note that the purchase of these routers is not available with EasyGo/Monthly

How will I be billed for Contract-free Fibre Broadband? What are the accepted payment methods?
You will receive a monthly StarHub postpaid bill showing the breakdown of your incurred
charges, the same as other StarHub Fibre Broadband plans.

in your monthly bill or visit www.starhub.com/billings.
Does the Contract-free Fibre Broadband plan count as part of eligible service under Hub Club or Hub Club Go?
The Contract-free Fibre Broadband plan is counted as one eligible Fibre Broadband line for Hub Club or Hub Club Go membership.
Do I have to pay a relocation fee if I relocate my service from one address to another?
No, the relocation fee of $120 does not apply to the Contract-free Fibre Broadband plan.
Do I have to pay a disconnection fee if I terminate the service?
Yes, you will be charged the disconnection fee of $32.10 if you terminate your broadband
service. If your service is terminated within the first 3 months of service activation, an
additional cancellation fee of $53.50 applies.
Why is there a cancellation fee if I cancel my service within the first 3 months of service activation?
The cancellation fee of $53.50 covers the cost of setting up the Fibre connection for no contract customers. If you sign up for any Fibre Broadband plan with a 12/24-month contract, the cancellation fee is waived.
Will I get a router for free if I upgrade my Contract-free Fibre Broadband plan to a Fibre Broadband plan with a 12/24-month contract?
Contract-free Fibre Broadband plan customers who want to upgrade to any Fibre Broadband
plan with a 12/24-month contract are considered recontracting customers and will enjoy the
same router discounts and promotions applicable to recontracting customers, subject to
change and availability.
You can purchase your first router unit at a discounted price. Additional router units are

Broadband plan within the first 3 months of service activation.
