The limit on the number of SMS messages that can be sent daily will take effect from 31 March 2024.

Why is this limit being introduced?

Considering the recent surge in SMS-based spamming and scamming from mobile numbers, it is crucial to take steps to protect the public. In this regard, StarHub, adhering to Infocomm Media Development Authority’s (IMDA) directives, will introduce a daily limit of 300 SMS sends.

What is the limit for SMS messages that can be sent per day?

This limit is set at 300 outgoing SMS messages per day.

Does the limit apply to all types of StarHub Enterprise mobile lines (StarHub Postpaid)?

This limit applies to all types of StarHub Enterprise mobile lines (StarHub Postpaid).

What will happen if I reach the limit of 300 SMS sends in a day?

Once you exceed the daily limit of 300 SMS sends per day, any subsequent SMS messages will not go through. You will be notified of this through an SMS delivery failure message. Do not worry as you will be able to resume sending SMS messages the next day!

Does this limit also apply to incoming SMS messages?

There is no limit to the number of SMS messages you can receive.

This limit applies to both local and global outgoing SMS.
