SmartUC Desktop Client Version Update FAQ
You can confirm if you have SmartUC Desktop Client in your PC or laptop by going to your device’s settings then checking what apps are currently installed.
If you are not using SmartUC Desktop Client, no action is needed from you.
If your current version of StarHub SmartUC Desktop Client is 22.9.12 through 22.9.25, it will expire on 23 April 2022, with the new version 184.108.40.206 immediately taking effect.
Step 2 : Run the SmartUC Setup Wizard. Click “Next” to start.
Step 3: Click “Remove”. This uninstalls your existing version of SmartUC Desktop Client.
Step 4: Click “No” to retain your existing profiles.
Step 5: Click “Finish” to finish uninstalling your existing SmartUC Desktop Client.
Step 6 : Run SmartUC Setup Wizard again for installation of the new version. Click “Next”.
Step 7 : Select your install options and click “Next”.
Step 8 : Select your destination folder to install the new version, then click “Next”.
Step 9 : Click “Install” to begin the installation.
Step 10 : Ensure the checkbox “Launch SmartUC” is ticked for the Desktop Client to launch immediately upon clicking “Finish”.
If your SmartUC Desktop Client version falls under 22.9.12 through 22.9.25, you will not be able to use the SmartUC service after 23 April 2022 unless you download and install the new version.
Please verify and check that your SmartUC Desktop Client is updated to Version 220.127.116.11. Otherwise, download and install the latest desktop client again. Refer to question 5 for a step-by-step guide.
