StarHub Offers New Chinese And Cantonese News Channels

Singapore, 15 March 2011 – To provide StarHub TV viewers
with more avenues to keep abreast of the latest news and developments
in the region, particularly China and Hong Kong, StarHub will launch
two news channels - Shen Zhou News Channel and TVB News
Channel On Demand, on 21 March 2011.

Shen Zhou News Channel, which will be available on StarHub TV
Channel 807, presents primetime news from ten leading provincial
channels in China, namely An Hui, Beijing, Chong Qing, Hu Bei, Jiang
Su, Liao Ning, Shanghai, Shan Xi, Tianjing and Zhe Jiang. Viewers can
keep up with the latest happenings in China and tune in to up-to-date
reports and special news reporting from the various provinces.
Shen Zhou News Channel will be bundled with CCTV-4 (StarHub TV
Channel 801), whereby existing CCTV-4 customers will be able to enjoy
greater value and access content on Shen Zhou News Channel at no
additional charge. The enhanced Shen Zhou News Channel and CCTV-4
Pack, available in StarHub TV’s Chinese Add-on Group, will be priced
at $8.56 per month [1].

TVB News Channel On Demand offers daily updates from Hong Kong
in the original Cantonese language. Viewers can look forward to the
latest news from Hong Kong and around the world, in addition to
indepth expert analyses on social, economic and political issues in
Hong Kong.
TVB News Channel On Demand will be added to
TVB Cantonese On Demand Pack (StarHub TV Channel 839) which presently
comprises the channels TVB Entertainment News Channel On Demand and
TVB Lifestyle Channel On Demand. As a special promotion, StarHub is
offering a 50 percent discount off the subscription fee for TVB
Cantonese On Demand Pack [2]. Customers can enjoy 90 days of access to
the content at a low and affordable rate of $9.63. StarHub TV
customers who are existing subscribers of the Pack will get to view
the additional content on TVB News Channel On Demand for free.

can tune in to the respective channel of their choice and press the
blue button on their remote controls (for HubStation, Hubstation HD or
