Media Statement 4: Undersea Cables Damaged Off Taiwan Affecting Services

Singapore, 29 December 2006 (1500 hours) - StarHub is pleased to announce that the transmission of Hallmark Channel (Channel 17) on StarHub Digital Cable has resumed since 0540hrs this morning. In addition, we have successfully diverted 87% of our Internet bandwidth to alternate routes.

As repairs on the damaged undersea cables continue off Taiwan, StarHub's engineers are working round-the-clock to re-route affected Internet traffic to other undersea cables. We sincerely apologise to our customers for the inconvenience caused.

Another update will be provided as the situation improves.
