5 March 2001, Singapore -- Net users looking to keep up with the fast-moving Internet world can now rely on CliQTrack, an innovative new service which enables users to monitor any website 24-hours-a-day, gathering business intelligence and new product information to breaking news and even stock prices at the click of a mouse.

To be launched on Wednesday, 7 March 2001, at Internet World Asia @ Singapore by leading ISP StarHub Internet, in partnership with NexLabs Pte Ltd, CliQTrack is targeted at individuals and companies who need to track and be immediately alerted to new developments and information on the Net. By using CliQTrack, users will be able to overcome the growing information overload by customising what they are interested in tracking, resulting in time-savings and improved efficiency and productivity.

All the CliQTrack user needs to do is select the targeted sites through a simple-to-use 'drag-and-drop' method, refine the analysis by specifying keywords and determine how often he/she wants to be notified of updates through a designated email address. There is nothing to install and as long as the user has access to his/her email box, they can receive instant updates on their targeted sites anywhere at anytime.

"We call this reverse-pull technology, as opposed to push technology, because it gives users more control on what and when their desired information is delivered to them. Through CliQTrack, we hope to enrich our customers’ online experience by offering them more personalisation and interactivity features while improving their personal and business productivity and empowering them to gain that extra competitive edge," said Kyong Yu, General Manager of StarHub Internet.

StarHub Internet will provide the sales, marketing and customer support for CliQTrack while NexLabs Pte Ltd, the Singapore-based software technology company who developed this service and IgniteAsia Challenge 2001 Award winner, will provide the back-end technology expertise.

"Users today are overloaded with too much noise on the web and they are demanding for new tools that allow personalization so that only the desired information is delivered to them," said Mr Raymond Wong, Director of NexLabs. "We are delighted to work with StarHub Internet to launch this innovative value added service. CliQTrack customers will be the first in Singapore to experience intelligent state-of-the-art Internet technology that truly delivers value and enhances productivity."

More than 300 StarHub Internet customers have had the opportunity to try out CliQTrack in a consumer trial held earlier in January. The response has been very positive and other features such as SMS alerts to message pagers, mobile phones and even fax machines are currently under evaluation

"We are pleased to receive very encouraging and useful feedback from our trial users. StarHub Internet will be working with NexLabs to look at the feasibility of including the suggested features into CliQTrack. This effort reinforces our corporate philosophy of forming strategic partnerships with the vision to provide our customers with personalisation services and the best Net experience," added Mr Yu.

This new service will be one of the many products showcased at StarHub Internet's Pavilion (Booth D02) at Internet World Asia @ Singapore in SICEC Halls 402-404 from 7-9 March 2001. This collaboration with NexLabs is part of StarHub Internet’s focus to work with best-of-breed partners to be an Application Service-enabler, expanding beyond providing just plain Internet access services.

Other recent initiatives in the CliQ-family range include CliQLink, a first-ever Web-based communications service to cost-effectively manage fax and voice info-communications needs through a single personal phone number, and CliQFix, a personalised and automated self-help support tool which allows users to instantly fix simple, frequently occurring technical difficulties quickly.
