Singapore, 4 July 2003 - Start hubbing today! Don't miss out on the excitement as StarHub celebrates its merger anniversary with StarHub Cable Vision (previously known as Singapore Cable Vision) from 5 July 2003 to 20 July 2003.
With the theme "Celebrate the future of hubbing", StarHub's hubbing anniversary promises a myriad of activities which will demonstrate the benefits of hubbing. To commemorate this special occasion, StarHub customers will get a glimpse of the exciting future services that StarHub can offer and be treated to exclusive events and offers for the whole family.
Since the merger in July 2002, StarHub customers have had the opportunity to experience the benefits of hubbing as they enjoy a convergence of services with StarHub, including a complete offering of cable TV, broadband Internet and mobile communication services. By leveraging on converged technologies, applications that hubbers are now accessing on a single platform will be available on multi-platforms. Through a single source, hubbers can conveniently receive content seamlessly from the different devices that they are familiar with, be it their mobile phone, TV or notebook.
Said Mr Terry Clontz, President & CEO of StarHub, "Customers are finding that they are able to satisfy all their info-communications and entertainment needs by hubbing with StarHub. What’s more, they enjoy quality services that are affordable, with the convenience of a single source."
Since its merger in July 2002, the new StarHub has achieved various historical milestones which include the launch of Digital Voice, a personal fixed line voice service for residential homes; HubTV, Singapore's first dedicated MMS/SMS TV channel; and MTV Code, a mobile lifestyle plan which provides the youth of today with access to the latest MTV events, parties, concerts, movies, discounts and privileges, along with their mobile service.
"Hub It" campaigns like the English Premier League and MTV Asia Awards 2003 have demonstrated to StarHub customers the power of hubbing. StarHub’s unique suite of services and solutions means that we can bring pure content to life and customers can enjoy what they are passionate about in every possible way. For example, for MTV Asia Awards 2003, customers could hub across all platforms and experience complete enjoyment in every aspect like watching the live telecast of the awards on StarHub CableTV, accessing the website for online contests via dial-up and broad-band, and downloading associated ringtones and icons onto their mobile phones.
On 12-13 July, hubbers will be treated to a sneak preview of the future possibilities at the Anniversary Celebration event held at the Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre (SICEC) at Level 2, Ballroom*. Dubbed the Hubbing Home of the Future, hubbers can sample some of the future devices and services coming their way in the near future.
