Terms & Conditions - Happy Transfer – Prepaid Talktime Top-Up (“Service”) Service Specific

 

  1. The use of Mobile and Mobile Data Services and this Service are subject to StarHub's General Consumer Terms & Conditions, and any other terms and conditions that you and we may have agreed to from time to time. You may view our terms and conditions at Legal Notices & Terms.
  2. This Service is available to all StarHub prepaid mobile subscribers with an active prepaid account at the time of using the Service.
  3. The Service will allow eligible customers to purchase pre-defined amounts of talktime to a StarHub prepaid mobile number in Singapore and supported prepaid mobile number accounts in the following countries:
    1. Bangladesh
    2. China
    3. India
    4. Indonesia
    5. Malaysia
    6. Philippines
    7. Sri Lanka
    8. Myanmar
    9. Thailand
    10. Vietnam
  4. All denominations of talktime for top-up will be pre-determined by StarHub.
  5. For transfers to a StarHub prepaid mobile number, talktime top-up credits will be credited to the recipient’s bonus wallet. A transaction fee of 5 cents will be charged for each successful transfer.
  6. Talktime transferred may only be used by the recipient for mobile-related services, such as voice calls, international calls, SMS and data.
  7. Upon initiation of a transfer of talktime by a customer, the pre-defined top-up denomination(s) will be displayed in an SMS to the customer in Singapore dollars for transfers to a StarHub prepaid number or in the relevant overseas currency (e.g. MYR for Malaysia) as well as the corresponding amount in Singapore Dollars (SGD) that will be deducted from the customer’s prepaid account’s main wallet.
  8. Upon confirmation of the transfer by the customer, the pre-defined amount as displayed in SGD shall be deducted from the customer’s prepaid account’s main wallet. This will result in the corresponding top-up of the recipient’s StarHub prepaid mobile account or prepaid mobile account  overseas in the amount selected by the customer. The deduction and transfer will only take place if the customer has sufficient balance in his prepaid account’s main wallet.
  9. We reserve the right to revise and amend the pricing and rates of the talktime top-up amounts from time to time without notice to customers. 
  10. There will be no refunds for any international prepaid talktime top-up once the transaction has been effected and the corresponding pre-defined top-up value is credited to the recipient’s prepaid mobile account.
  11. We will stipulate limits placed on the number of transfers and total amount of talktime a customer may be able to transfer to any supported prepaid mobile number account for any given period. We reserve the right to reject any transactions in excess of our stipulated limits.
  12. You acknowledge and agree that: 
    1. you shall use the Service for personal and non-commercial purposes only;
    2. you shall not use the Service or permit the use of the Service in any manner which may adversely affect our network, or other customers' use of the Service and/or any other service provided to such customers, as we may reasonably determine;
    3. the Service is offered to you on an "as is" basis;
    4. your use of this Service constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and any other terms and conditions that you may have accepted.
  13. You agree that the availability of this Service is subject to:
    1. your retention and maintenance of an active StarHub prepaid mobile account;
    2. the geographic and technical capability of our network and of our delivery systems at the time and location when the Service is requested or delivered.
  14. We expressly exclude any guarantees, representations, warranties, conditions, terms or undertakings of any kind, express or implied, statutory or otherwise or any representations or warranties arising from usage or custom or trade or by operation of law, including (without limitation) as to the sequence, originality, correctness, completeness, accuracy, timelines, currency, non-infringement, merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose in relation to the Service.
  15. You agree that you are fully responsible for your use of the Service, and in no circumstances shall we be liable for any loss, damage, claim or compensation of whatever nature arising from or related to the Service including but not limited to any alleged unauthorized transactions, disruptions, errors, defects or unavailability of Service, loss of data or damage to any mobile equipment belonging to you.
  16. You accept and acknowledge that we may suspend, terminate and/or discontinue the Service and/or access of any customer to the Service or any part thereof at any time in our sole and absolute discretion without prior notice and without any liability whatsoever to you.
