Basic Analogue Service (PSTS)

You and your business can now benefit from StarHub Basic Analogue Service. This guide explains how you can use our many Enhanced Services to your benefit.

It is also includes useful StarHub phone numbers for your reference when you have an enquiry or encounter a service problem.

StarHub Basic Analogue Service provides customers with a telephone service, which enables your business to have:

  • Access to make local calls through StarHub telephone network
  • Access to all StarHub Customer Service numbers
  • Directory Enquiry services
  • Fault Reporting services
  • International Calling Card (Application and Enquiries)
  • Billing Enquiries
  • Access to make IDD calls* (through StarHub and/or other operators)
  • Access to make bargain voice calls and fax* (through StarHub and/or other operators)
  • Access to local (1800) freephone services
  • Access to local (1900) premium services *
  • Access to emergency numbers (995 and 999)

* This access can be barred by StarHub upon request, or customers can control level of access by using the Outgoing Call Barring Enhanced Service

The following Enhanced Services comes FREE with StarHub Basic Analogue Service:

  • Voicemail with Message Wait Indication

Phone Numbers

You will have one telephone number with StarHub Basic Analogue Service.

Enhanced Services

A comprehensive range of Enhanced Services is available to StarHub Basic Analogue Service customers. See below for brief descriptions and operating instructions. Some of these services are supplied with your Basic Analogue Service for free, while others have additional charges associated.

Voicemail Instructions

As a valued StarHub customer, if you request Voicemail on your Basic Analogue Service we will provide it for free! With our free Message Waiting Indication service, if there is a new message in your mailbox, you will get a stuttered tone instead of a normal dial tone when you lift the handset.
Message Retrieval
Dial 1303. Default password is 8888#
Voicemail Deposit (direct deposit of a message without ringing the phone physically)
Dial 1302. Enter your phone number. Default password is 8888#

Caller ID Enhanced Services

Caller ID Presentation: This service displays the phone number of an incoming on your phone.

Caller ID Restriction (Caller Number Non Display): This service means that the person you are calling won’t be able to see your phone number when their phone rings.

Pre-defined Incoming Call: You can restrict your phone line so that only authorised callers can phone you. You can have up to 10 pre-defined numbers.

Malicious Caller ID

  1. When A-party (Prank Caller) calls B-party, during the call, B-party can activate the service code: “flash” *39# to start the call trace.
  2. B-party has to be off hook for at least 30 sec in order for the call to be captured, even if the A-party has already on hook

Call Control Enhanced Services

Default passwords are 1234

Password Change Instructions

Dial *03* old password* new password* new password (to Re-confirm)#. You can replace the handset after you hear a confirmation announcement.

Call Divert (Unconditional): All calls are diverted.
Activate ➞

Deactivate ➞ dial #68#

Remote Call Forwarding (Follow-Me Call Divert): You can dial in and change your diverts from wherever you are.
Activate ➞ dial 67211310. An interactive voice guide will request for your own number then your password then *68*(the number you want to divert to)#

Call Waiting: Means that if you are busy on a call and someone is trying to get through you hear an indication. Using Call Hold you can answer the call and switch between calls.

Three Party Conference: You can talk to two different people at once, ideal for urgent meetings.|
Activate ➞
Dial the first number then press flash key then dial the other number. When established press flash and dial 3 to activate a 3 party conference
To switch between the two calls ➞ press flash then 2

Multi-Party (up to 6-Party) Call: You can talk to up to 6 different people at once, ideal for urgent meetings.
To begin the conference ➞ Dial the number you wish to call. When the call is established then press flash then the next number you wish to call. When established all 3 party are in conference. Repeat to add more conferences.

Call Transfer: You can connect a customer you have called straight to your service expert or another person.
Activate ➞ Dial the first number then press flash key then dial the other number. Hang up to activate the call transfer.

Automatic Ring Back When Free: If the person you are calling is busy you can use this service to call them back automatically as soon as their line is free.
