20 March 2020
Singapore, 20 March 2020 – StarHub today announced a series of promotions to extend additional support to its customers during this challenging period. This follows the unveiling of the StarHub Cares COVID-19 Fund and community support initiatives to help cushion the impact on healthcare professionals, patients and lower-income households.
As more and more people find themselves having to work remotely or self-isolate for extended periods, digital connectivity and entertainment have become more vital than ever for everyone to live life as normally as possible.
“These are unprecedented times, and StarHub will continue caring for the community we live in and support our customers; we can do more and we will. Earlier this week, we pledged our support for the more vulnerable groups in our community. From today, we are rolling out measures to enable our customers to stay connected with family, friends and colleagues and find entertainment options easily and with peace-of-mind,” said Johan Buse, Chief of Consumer Business Group, StarHub. “COVID-19 is changing life as we know it, but we strongly believe people have the soul and spirit to adapt and emerge stronger. Amid this health crisis, let us continue supporting each other to stay healthy, avoid further spread of the virus, and ride out this storm as one.”
StarHub’s help measures for customers include free unlimited mobile talktime for healthcare professionals, free preview and video streaming on StarHub Go for everyone, and significant discounts on remote work solutions.
StarHub closely monitors the COVID-19 developments and will continue to review its community and customer support measures as may be necessary.
