Oh!K to Enthral Audiences on StarHub TV
-Turner Broadcasting’s new channel offers top-rated Korean dramas and variety shows from MBC, with shorter windows-
Singapore, 20 October 2014 – With the debut of Oh!K on StarHub TV
(StarHub TV Channel 816) today, Singapore audiences will be amongst
the world’s first to watch top-rated Korean programmes, with many
premiering within a month of their initial telecast. Hitting
Singapore screens on 28 October, just one day after its premiere in
Korea, is the highly-anticipated drama Pride and Prejudice, which stars popular actor Choi Jin-hyuk.
Other hit dramas that viewers can
look forward to on Oh!K include Diary of a Night Watchman, where a secret gang of night-watchmen
solves cases involving the realms of the supernatural, and You Are My Destiny, which stars popular onscreen couple Jang
Hyuk and Jang Na-ra. You Are
My Destiny is a
remake of the highly-successful Taiwanese idol drama, Fated to Love You , which starred Ethan Ruan and Joe Chen.
Exciting variety shows that will
deliver endless entertainment to viewers include Infinite Challenge , a long-running show that features
popular celebrities fighting off one another to win the challenge of
the week, as well as Emmy-nominated reality show Dad, Where Are We Going ?, a hit series which put the spotlight
on celebrity fathers taking on the sole responsibility of looking
after their children.
With the addition of Oh!K, StarHub
TV now carries a total of eight channels by Turner Broadcasting.
Turner is the creator and distributor of award-winning brands such
as Cartoon Network (Channel 316), CNN (Channel 711), Toonami
(Channel 315) and WarnerTV (Channel 515), which are also available
on StarHub TV.

Oh!K, which is owned and operated by
Turner Broadcasting System Asia Pacific, features an impressive
line-up of first-run dramas, music and variety programmes. It is
powered by content from leading Korean broadcaster, MBC, best-known
for its top-notch, hugely-popular drama productions such as
Dong Yi, Moon Embracing the Sun,
and The Empress Ki , currently airing on StarHub TV.
Viewers can enjoy Oh!K in
crystal-clear clarity as the channel is showcased in high
definition. Oh!K, which comes with English and Chinese subtitles at
launch, offers audio options in original Korean language, and
selected programmes dubbed in Mandarin and Bahasa Malay. To allow
customers to sample Oh!K, there will be complimentary viewing of the
channel from 9am on 20 October to 12pm on 11 November. Thereafter,
existing customers of Basic Chinese Entertainment HD Upsize Group,
Impian Pack, Thangam Pack, or Thangam Migai Pack can continue to
enjoy the channel at no additional cost.
Viewers can also choose to subscribe
to the new Sensasi Pack at a monthly subscription fee of $8.56
(including GST). In addition to Oh!K (StarHub TV Channel 816),
Sensasi Pack also comes with Sensasi (StarHub TV Channel 123), KBS
World (StarHub TV Channel 115), and ONE Malay (StarHub TV Channel
