Terms and Conditions for StarHub Festive 2019 Lucky Draw (“Lucky Draw”)
Eligibility
1. This Lucky Draw commences on 28 November 2019 until 31 December 2019, both dates inclusive (“Lucky Draw”).
2. This Lucky Draw will be governed by these standard terms and conditions ("Terms"). By participating in this Lucky Draw, you (“the Participant”) confirm that you have read and understood these Terms and that you agree to be bound by and to comply with these Terms. Non-compliance with or breach of any of the Terms may disqualify you, and any prize won by you may be forfeited, withheld, withdrawn or reclaimed.
3. To be eligible to participate in this Lucky Draw, you must be a new or existing StarHub Entertainment Pass residential customer with at least 2 Entertainment Passes, and not have any outstanding bills with StarHub Ltd and/or its related corporations (collectively referred to as “we” or “us” or “StarHub”)) during the Lucky Draw Period, at the time of the draw and at the time of the claim or use of the Prize.
4. Employees of StarHub and prize sponsors, Home Box Office (Singapore) Pte Ltd, Viacom International Media Networks, NBA Prize (as defined in “NBA Prize”), and their immediate families, as well as commercial customers and bulk subscription customers, are not eligible to participate in this Lucky Draw.
5. Unless otherwise stated by us, you may participate only once for the Lucky Draw under each account you have with us.
Contest Mechanics
6. You will have to do the following during the Lucky Draw Period:
Choose the prize you would like to win, and submit your details on starhub.com/festive-draw:
1) A trip for 4 to visit Oxford in U.K. where HBO’s His Dark Materials was filmed
2) A trip for 2 to the All-Access NBA Los Angeles 2020 in U.S.
3) A family trip for 4 to the all-new Nickelodeon Universe theme park at American Dream in the U.S.
7. At the end of the Lucky Draw Period, the winner(s) will be picked from the eligible Participants by random through a lucky draw (“Winner(s)”).
Prizes
8. There shall be three (3) Winner(s) of the Prize, each Winner to win one of the following:
1) Prize: Trip for 4 to visit Oxford in U.K. where HBO’s His Dark Materials was filmed
- 4 x return economy class flights to U.K.
- 5D3N accommodation for 4 (twin-sharing) with daily breakfast
- Round trip airport transfers
- 2-day guided tour, including Oxford City, one of the filming locations of “His Dark Materials”
2) Prize: Trip for 2 to All Access NBA Los Angeles 2020 in U.S.
- Return economy class flights from Singapore and US
- 6D5N accommodation for 2 (1 twin sharing room)
- Two (2) NBA basketball games in Los Angeles for 2; luxury box and/or regular seating; Los Angeles Clippers v.s Brooklyn Nets (13 March 2020) and Los Angeles Lakers vs. Washington Wizards (10 March 2020).

3) Prize: Family trip for 4 to the all-new Nickelodeon Universe theme park at American Dream in the U.S
- Return economy flights for 4 from Singapore and U.S.
- 4D3N accommodation in New York City
- 4 Tickets to the all-new Nickelodeon Theme Park Universe at American Dream in New Jersey before its official launch in April 2020.
- Meal and transport allowance
9. If you are the winner of the Trip for a family of 4 to Nickelodeon Universe at Amerian Dream in U.S., the trip must consist of 2 adults and 2 children (at least 1 child under 14 years of age), and you agree that you must be available to travel between 14 March 2020 and 31 March 2020.
10. If you are the winner of the Trip for 4 to visit Oxford in U.K, you agree that you are at least 21 years of age and above. You and your companion must travel by 30 June 2020.
11. If you are the winner of the Trip for 2 to Los Angeles, U.S., you agree that you and your companion must be at least 21 years and above and must be available to travel between 11 March 2020 and 16 March 2020.
12. If you are the Winner, you agree to continue with your subscription of the relevant StarHub services until your Prize has been fully utilized and with regards to travel prizes, until the end of the travel period, failing which we may require you to either forfeit the Prize or compensate us for the full costs of the Prize.
13. We make no warranty whatsoever as to the Prizes, including without limitation the availability, destinations, times, quality, fitness for purpose or the value of the flights, transport, goody bags or other gifts.
14. If you are the Winner, you accept that your companion(s) must travel at the same time. Flights are on economy (Y) class levels. You and your travel companion(s) will need to apply and secure for your own Visas where necessary. Travel is also subject to the successful application of the necessary entry visa, and subject to seat availability. Travel blackout dates apply at all times.
15. In relation to the Prize involving travel that you win, you agree that you and your companion shall be responsible for all travelling expenses, including but not limited to, meals, drinks, transfers, laundry charges, activities, incidentals, taxes (including airport taxes and departure taxes), energy surcharges, gratuities, services charges, travel insurance and any and all other ancillary costs.
16. We are not and shall not be deemed to be the seller or transferor of the Prizes. The Prizes shall be subject to such other terms and conditions as may be imposed by the relevant sponsors, merchants and/or suppliers of the Prize (“Prize Terms”). Each Winner agrees to be bound by such Prize Terms.
17. We reserve the right to redistribute any unclaimed Prizes to other participants or donate any unclaimed Prizes to the Community Chest or any other approved charitable organization.
18. The Prizes, or any part thereof, shall not be transferable, exchangeable, redeemable or substituted for cash or other benefits.
19. We reserve the right to replace any Prize with another of equal or higher value without prior notice.
NBA Prize Terms
NBA Prize Terms In addition to the above terms, these further special terms apply to all persons who submit an entry into the draw to win the NBA Prize
20. Right of Publicity Release: Participants in this NBA Competition agree to be bound by these Official Rules and agree that: (a) Released Parties and their designees and assigns may use (unless prohibited by law) Participant’s name, voice, city/state of residence, photographs, video or film clips, and/or other visual likeness for advertising and/or trade purposes and/or for any other purpose in any media or format now or hereafter known without further compensation (financial or otherwise), permission or notification.
21. Definition of NBA Entities: NBA Properties, Inc., the National Basketball Association (the “NBA”), and the NBA member teams (collectively, the “NBA Entities”).
22. Exclusion of Employees of the NBA Entities from Eligibility: Employees of NBA Properties, Inc., the National Basketball Association (the “NBA”), the NBA Member Teams, “The particular Sponsor for this event if any”, and the NBA Competition arena (collectively, the “Released Parties”) including affiliates, agents and immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each of the aforementioned, are not eligible to enter or win the Fan Contest.
23. Limitation of Liability: To the extent permitted by law, the NBA entities and each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, governors, owners, distributors, retailers, agents, assignees, advertising/promotion agencies, representatives, and agents shall have no liability and will be released and held harmless from any claim, action, liability, loss, injury or damage, including, without limitation (but subject to operation of law), personal injury or death to winner or any third party or damage to personal or real property due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by any reason, including the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize and/or participation in this promotion.
Collection
24. If you win, you will be notified via phone/email after the Lucky Draw Period. In the event the you cannot be contacted via phone within 24 hours, another Winner will be picked as a replacement.
25. To claim the Prize, you must confirm acceptance of your win and sign an acknowledgement form with us via email. If we do not receive an answer from you within the date stated in the email after initial contact is made by us, you may be disqualified.
26. If a Winner is disqualified for any reason including due to ineligibility or failing to comply with any of these Terms, then other participants will be selected instead.
27. The Prizes must be redeemed in accordance with the notification letter from us, and any failure or delay to collect the Prize shall be deemed a forfeiture of the Prize.
28. As a condition of your receipt of the Prize, each of you and your companion (where relevant) must sign an Acknowledgement and Release Form in respect of each of your collection and use of the Prize
Personal Data
29. By participating in this Lucky Draw, you consent to us, our Strategic Partners, our Preferred Partners, Prize sponsors, NBA Entities, Home Box Office (Singapore) Pte and Ltd Viacom International Media Networks collecting, using or disclosing your personal data that you submit under this Lucky Draw and that we may have in our records from time to time, for the StarHub Additional Purposes and Preferred Partners Additional Purposes which are set out in the StarHub Personal Data Protection Policy accessible at www.starhub.com/pdpp. Such personal data may include without limitation your name, telephone number, email address, personal identification or passport number, as well as your image, picture, photographs or likeness. Full NRIC/FIN/Passport number and details may be requested from the Winners to be used by us, our Strategic Partners, our Preferred Partners, Prize sponsors, NBA Entities, Home Box Office (Singapore) Pte and Ltd Viacom International Media Networks for the purposes of facilitating in the booking of flights, accommodation or other activities as required by law. You confirm you have read and understood and that you agree to the StarHub Personal Data Protection Policy.
30. In addition to the foregoing, by participating in this Lucky Draw, you consent to us, our Strategic Partners, our Preferred Partners, and prize sponsors, NBA Entities, Home Box Office (Singapore) Pte and Ltd Viacom International Media Networks for calling you or sending SMS to you via the Singapore telephone number(s) that you have submitted or that we may have in our records from time to time, for the abovementioned StarHub Additional Purposes and Preferred Partners Additional Purposes.
31. By accepting a Prize which includes a companion(s), you confirm and warrant you have obtained the consent of your companion to us, our Strategic Partners, our Preferred Partners, Prize Sponsors, NBA Entities, Home Box Office (Singapore) Pte and Ltd Viacom International Media Networks collecting, using or disclosing their personal data which they submit and that we have in their records from time to time, for the StarHub Additional Purposes and Preferred Partners Additional Purposes which are set out in the StarHub Personal Data Protection Policy and accessible at www.starhub.com/pdpp. Such personal data may include without limitation your companion’s name(s), telephone number, email address, personal identification or passport number, as well as their image, picture, photographs or likeness. Full NRIC/FIN/Passport number and details may be requested from the companion to be used by us, our Strategic Partners, our Preferred and Partners Prize Sponsors, NBA Entities, Home Box Office (Singapore) Pte and Ltd Viacom International Media Networks for the purposes of facilitating in the booking of flights, accommodation or other activities as required by law. You confirm your companion has read, understood and agrees to the StarHub Personal Data Protection Policy.
32. Limitation of Liability
StarHub, the NBA Entities and each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, governors, owners, distributors, retailers, agents, assignees, advertising/promotion agencies, representatives, and agents shall have no liability and will be released and held harmless from any claim, action, liability, loss, injury or damage, including, without limitation, personal injury or death to Winner or any third party or damage to personal or real property due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by any reason, including the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the Prize and/or participation in this Promotion.
33. Right of Publicity Release
Participants in this Promotion (if minor, his/her parent or legal guardian) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and agree that StarHub, the NBA Entities and their designees and assigns may use the Participant’s name, voice, city/state of residence, photos, video or film clips, and/or other visual likeness for advertising and/or trade purposes and/or for any other purpose in any media or format now or hereafter known without further compensation (financial or otherwise), permission or notification.
Others
34. Our decisions on the Lucky Draw, the Prizes and the Winners shall be final and no correspondence will be entertained under any circumstances. In the event of a dispute, any individual’s entitlement to participate in the Lucky Draw and any person’s entitlement to the Prizes shall be subject to our sole discretion and final determination.
35. We shall not be liable to you and/or your companion for damages, losses, costs or expenses, lost profits, revenue, business or anticipated savings suffered or incurred by you or your companion arising out of or in connection with your participation in the Lucky Draw or the redemption or the use of any Prize.
36. We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time and without notice. Continued participation in this Contest and continued use of the relevant StarHub Services will constitute acceptance of these terms and conditions and any amendments thereof.
37. These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Singapore and you agree to be bound by the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
