Singapore, 22 October 2020 – Continuing the momentum of curating the best Over-the-top (OTT) entertainment services for customers, StarHub has announced a new collaboration with Hotstar, India’s leading video streaming app – the first in Southeast Asia! The launch marks the sixth OTT partnership on the new StarHub TV+ service, following earlier tie-ups with Netflix, HBO GO, TVBAnywhere+, BBC Player and, beIN SPORTS CONNECT. With that, StarHub TV+ customers now have the widest range of streaming services, apps and live TV channels, available on a single platform for the simplest multi-screen viewing experience.

With the addition of Hotstar, StarHub’s customers on a 12- or 24-month Indian+ contract will enjoy – at no extra cost – front-row experience of a great selection of exclusive premieres, original series, movies, and live Cricket, including the highly anticipated Dream11 Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 Playoffs and Final from 1 November 2020. Eligible customers will receive an SMS or Email notification on how to activate their new Hotstar access from 1 November 2020. Indian+ is available at $15 a month with a 24-month plan or $25 a month with a 12-month plan. For more information, please visit www.starhub.com/indianplus.

Like all StarHub TV+ customers, Indian+ subscribers can enjoy the best entertainment experience across multiple screens. They can seamlessly toggle between live TV channels on Indian+ and on demand content from Hotstar app, watching it from a big-screen TV via the StarHub TV+ Box or the respective mobile apps, depending on their viewing preferences.

“At StarHub, we recognise the rapid evolution of our customers’ consumption and content preferences, as more OTT players enter the market. By integrating both OTT and TV content all into one easy-to-use platform, customers are now enjoying the best of both worlds with StarHub TV+,” said Johan Buse, Chief of Consumer Business Group, StarHub. “We are delighted to collaborate with Hotstar and bring its incredible selection of Indian entertainment to StarHub TV+, which, when combined with our already impressive Indian entertainment content, gives our customers access to the greatest line-up of Indian content in Singapore.”

“Hotstar’s launch in Singapore is an exciting step forward in providing an unparalleled mix of Indian content to local audiences, featuring a great user experience and the convenience of anytime, anywhere viewing. Through our collaboration with StarHub, we are confident that more viewers in the South Asian community will be able to enjoy the best of Indian entertainment, live cricket and news, including more than 2,000 movies and 900 TV shows,” said Amit Malhotra, Regional Lead, Emerging Markets, The Walt Disney Company APAC.
