Media Statement - StarHub Ushers in Lunar New Year with Free Preview and Promotions Galore for Customers

Singapore, 18 January 2022 - Food, family, and free preview! This Lunar New Year, StarHub will be turning up the festivities with an exciting free preview for all StarHub Entertainment customers, from 27 January, 12pm, to 7 February, 12pm. The 12-day free preview will feature over 100 world-class ‘live’ channels from a myriad of content genres, such as BBC Earth, Cartoon Network, HBO, Hub Sensasi, Hub Sports 1, KBS World, STAR CHINESE CHANNEL, TVBJ, and more. With that, customers can look forward to a smorgasbord of the hottest programmes, catering to all in the family – from Lunar New Year specials to blockbuster films, ‘live’ sports, documentaries, Asian dramas, and animated kids’ shows.

Leading up to the Lunar New Year, StarHub has curated a series of close to 15 top-tier Chinese channels for the free preview. Come onboard a heart-rending journey with romance drama Novoland: Pearl Eclipse on VV Drama; let your jaw drop with talent show competition Talent on Now Jelli; and celebrate your heart out with 2022 Super Star on Hub E City.

All StarHub TV+ customers can access the free preview through their preferred devices; be it on large-screen TVs, or laptops and phones via the StarHub TV+ app, which can be accessed across five registered devices and two simultaneous streams on a single subscription. Other StarHub Entertainment customers can also catch the free preview through their set-top boxes.

That’s not all – StarHub will be capping off the celebrations with a special Lunar New Year promotion for customers on home bundles with Broadband. From 19 January, 10am, to 28 February, all new and re-contracting customers for selected HubBundle, HomeHub+ and Broadband plans will receive a bevy of gifts worth up to $1,160, including a 43-inch or 55-inch Mi TV P1 series 4K Android TV. All StarHub 2Gbps Broadband plans also come with Smart WiFi Pro, which is the high-speed, low-latency Linksys Velop MX4200 WiFi 6 Mesh System router. Smart WiFi Pro was recently conferred Best Smart Home (Gold) in the Geek Culture Awards 2022: The Best Of Tech.

To further sweeten the pot, both existing and new customers who get 2Gbps Broadband plan will enjoy Disney+ access at no extra cost for 12 months, while those on HubBundle 2G (4G SIM Only) and HomeHub+ 2G plans will be offered Standard Netflix plan, at no extra cost, for the duration of their contracts. HubBundle 2G (5G SIM Only) will also enjoy both Netflix and Disney+, without paying a cent more.
