Singapore, 22 October 2021 – StarHub today inked an agreement to bring exciting sporting properties to StarHub Entertainment customers through two new dedicated sports channels – SPOTV and SPOTV2, available for streaming on their phones as well as on their TVs (Channels 205 and 206). Without paying a single cent more, all StarHub Sports+ and Sports Pass subscribers can catch ‘live’ and on-demand coverage of thrilling motorsports (MotoGP) and table tennis events (WTT), prestigious tennis Grand Slams (Wimbledon, US Open) and golf majors (Open Championship), as well as electrifying Korean sports content (KBO League, KOVO V-League, KBL). With this deal, sports fans will be able to enjoy a front-row-seat experience to two of four Grand Slams and top tennis tournaments ATP, WTA and Billie Jean King Cup, as well as triple golf competitions Open Championship, European Tour and Asian Tour, on StarHub, the unrivalled home of tennis and golf.

As a special launch event, StarHub will be offering all StarHub Entertainment customers free preview of SPOTV and SPOTV2. From today till 5 November 2021, they will be able to catch heart pumping sporting events – including the Gran Premio Nolan del Made in Italy e dell'Emilia-Romagna GP, ‘live’ from the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli from 22 to 24 October 2021 – entirely free-of-charge, regardless of whether or not they have a Sports+ or Sports Pass subscription.

SPOTV and SPOTV2 join StarHub’s line-up of more than 10 premium sports channels and streaming apps, including the hugely popular NBA TV, beIN SPORTS and beIN SPORTS 2 – available only on StarHub Entertainment. On NBA TV, customers can watch as basketball greats face off in ‘live’ NBA games; on beIN SPORTS, stream matches from top European football leagues La Liga and Ligue 1; and on beIN SPORTS 2, relish in world-class tennis action with ATP Tour. With the addition of tennis, golf and motorsports tournaments to existing sporting events, sports fans can enjoy all-encompassing coverage of world-class sports in one pass. Sports+ Pass is available at just $20 a month, on a two-year plan.

Additionally, cricket fans on Indian+ are enjoying top-tier ‘live’ tournaments, via integrated video streaming app Hotstar. Available since 17 October 2021, Indian+ customers can savour the explosive ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021, which features 16 top-notch cricket teams from India, Sri Lanka, Scotland, Australia and more, on Hotstar at no extra cost. Indian+ is available at $15 a month, on a two-year plan.

StarHub has been taking active steps to expand its stable of sports offerings. To that end, the company has closed several deals with regional and international content providers and secured the rights to broadcast various popular sporting events, such as with UFC last month. Customers can have their pick of the widest mix of sports genres – from basketball to football, tennis to cricket, motorsports to mixed martial arts – at the best value in the market, only on StarHub Entertainment.
