Singapore, 1 August 2016 – StarHub today is named as a new Value Added Distributor (VAD) for Autodesk in Singapore, making it the first telco in Southeast Asia to be appointed by Autodesk to distribute its software.

As a VAD, StarHub will sell Autodesk’s 3D design, engineering and entertainment software through a network of Autodesk Value Added Resellers (VARs). StarHub’s strengths in info-communications distribution will further broaden the reach of Autodesk’s solutions, and help meet customer needs across multiple industries in Singapore.

“Trends around cloud computing, collaboration between distributed teams, and the proliferation of mobile devices are shaping the way our customers work and access Autodesk solutions. As a telco, StarHub understands this well, and there are strong synergies between our businesses,” said Rama Tiwari, Regional Director, Autodesk ASEAN. “We believe StarHub will bring significant value to Autodesk resellers, and we’re very excited about our new partnership.”

Customers across manufacturing, architecture, building, construction, and media and entertainment—including the last 22 Academy Award winners for Best Visual Effects—use Autodesk software to design, visualise, and simulate their ideas before they are ever built or created. From blockbuster visual effects and buildings that create their own energy, to electric cars and the batteries that power them, the work of Autodesk’s customers is everywhere you look.

"As we continue the growth momentum in our enterprise business, we also want to innovate around non-traditional telco business models to discover new areas of expansion," Kevin Lim, Chief Commercial Officer at StarHub said. "We are honoured to be appointed by Autodesk and thank them for their trust in us. We look forward to bringing our experience in the subscription-based business, and with our connectivity, security, business solutions and market creation capabilities, we believe we can value-add to Autodesk’s existing resellers as well as offer new services for our existing network of partners."

StarHub will start distributing Autodesk software beginning 1 August 2016.
