Singapore , 24 August 2009 - StarHub today announced that the customer base of its home phone line service, Digital Voice, has hit 200,000.

This is double the 100,000 customer mark reached 10 months ago when StarHub offered Digital Voice as a free value-added service to StarHub TV customers. MaxOnline customers have been enjoying the service free-of-charge since 2005.

Ms Ong Bee Lian, Vice President, Home Solutions at StarHub attributed the popularity of Digital Voice to the creative bundling of StarHub services that offers both choice and value to the company's growing base of customers.

With no monthly subscription fees and free local voice charges using StarHub's Digital Voice, StarHub TV or MaxOnline customers have saved at least $100 a year."

As Digital Voice is also delivered through StarHub's broadband cable network that powers both its high-speed residential broadband service and high-quality multi-channel cable TV service, customers will be able to enjoy the cost-savings and convenience of dealing with a one-stop integrated service provider.

"With the current economic situation, we are happy to help our customers manage their home utility costs while they continue to enjoy the value and comprehensiveness of our StarHub TV and MaxOnline services. We will introduce more innovative bundled offerings in the coming months," said Ms Ong.
