17 April 2009

Singapore, 17 April 2009 StarHub today announced that from tomorrow, 18 April 2009, customers who demand "anytime, anywhere" access to information, communications and entertainment services from a multimedia smartphone can subscribe to a new mobile data plan - "MaxMobile Premium".

Specially packaged for professionals and entrepreneurs, MaxMobile Premium allows customers to enjoy 1GB of free bundled data at $19.90 monthly from any multimedia smartphone, for example, the latest Nokia E75 messaging phone that StarHub will start to retail from tomorrow at all StarHub Shops and Exclusive Partners' outlets.

With StarHub's deterministic, peace-of-mind pricing for its mobile data products including the new MaxMobile Premium data plan, customers would not get a bill shock for mobile data usage as the service has a price cap at $36.38 regardless of the amount of data used locally.

This permits customers to access a full range of mobile data services including push email, Internet, instant messaging applications, and social networking applications from their mobile devices over StarHub’s advanced mobile broadband network freely and constantly without worrying about sky-high data charges as they will at most pay up to the price cap for data usage.

"With more choices of powerful multimedia mobile phones available for consumers to access the Internet and other mobile data services, we are seeing more people taking up a data package to surf from their mobile phones," said Mr Chan Kin Hung, Head of Personal Solutions and Advanced Multimedia Services at StarHub. "Our MaxMobile Premium data plan is customer-friendly that offers customers peace of mind with 1GB of data access for just $19.90 a month and a capped price of $36.38 a month. We believe StarHub with its richest content offering and peace-of-mind pricing for mobile data products delivered over our superior HSPA+ mobile network, offers the best mobile multimedia experience in town."
