Infinity Consortium Responds to IDA's Decision on Its Selection of the Network Company for the Next-Generation National Broadband Network (Next-Gen NBN) Bid
Singapore, 26 September 2008 - The Infinity Consortium today expressed disappointment that it has not been selected by IDA to be the Network Company (NetCo) of the Next-Gen NBN project.
Mr Terry Clontz, CEO of StarHub and Lead for the
Infinity Consortium said, “We are disappointed that the Infinity
Consortium was not selected for the NetCo project. The Infinity
Consortium proposed what we believe is a very good solution for
Singapore’s long term success with the Next-Gen NBN. Also, our
proposal would have substantially diversified, for the first time,
fixed infrastructure ownership. Nevertheless, we look forward to
learning more about OpenNet's build-out plans and pricing
structures.”
