Singapore, 18 June 2008 – Businesses in Singapore will get a boost today as StarHub introduces a new initiative that offers free local voice calls and, for the first time in Singapore, free SMS/MMS for intra-company mobile communications. This means that employees on participating StarHub mobile lines can enjoy free local voice calls and SMS/MMS to their colleagues who are also on the same scheme.
There is no limit to the number of StarHub mobile lines that can participate in this initiative, but businesses must have at least five StarHub mobile lines within the company to enjoy the service. All StarHub mobile lines for this scheme must also be registered under the same company name and business registration number. There is no subscription charge to be part of this initiative, and the one-time registration fee of $10.70 is waived until 31 December 2008. Other terms and conditions may apply.

This new initiative of free intra-company calls/SMS/MMS is an addition to the suite of StarHub’s iconic mobile features, namely All-Day Free Incoming Calls, Free IDD to 14 Destinations and Per Second Billing.
Other benefits for businesses using StarHub’s mobile service include flat roaming rates in over 220 destinations around the world for voice calls, video calls, SMS and data regardless of the operator they have selected in the country they are in. In addition, StarHub mobile customers will enjoy 50% discount off SMS and GPRS roaming charges when selecting a Conexus member operator while roaming overseas. As long as business mobile users are connected to a Conexus member mobile network[1], StarHub has also placed a price cap of $30 a day on data roaming charges, so that business mobile users will be able to surf all they want and not worry about escalating bills.
