Singapore, 6 September 2007 –StarHub and IAH, one of the leading operators and distributors of online games in South East Asia, today announced a partnership that will enhance the online experience of IAH’s suite of new and upcoming online games for gamers in South East Asia.

This partnership was made possible through Velocity, StarHub’s content collaboration programme which offers a complete Internet hosting programme designed to cater to the needs of content and value-added service providers to assist them in delivering their services to their end-users. Specifically, StarHub will provide IAH with its high-speed international Internet connectivity through StarHub’s IP Transit Service.

Said Mr Roderick Chia, Chief Technology Officer for IAH, "with quality bandwidth from StarHub's Velocity service, gamers will be impressed by the online performance while they enjoy the fantastic gameplay from IAH's suite of online games."

"With close to 70 million online users in South East Asia, the online content and gaming market here has been growing exponentially year-by-year," said Mr Lim Seow Thong, Vice President, IP Services, StarHub. "The Velocity programme is designed to cater to the needs of content and online gaming service providers that are looking to access the market here easily and with quality connections through Tier-1 and other regional networks. We are excited to be able to serve IAH by enhancing their operations as they continue to grow in the region. "

The Velocity programme includes service provider clients that provide a full range of services including email, blogging, multi-user Internet gaming, media streaming and traditional Internet data hosting services. Through this programme, StarHub is able to provide content and application service providers with end-to-end high quality connectivity through StarHub's Tier-1 Internet Exchange and provide attractive co-location and facilities management rates from market-leading partners such as Equinix Singapore. StarHub's programme is vendor-agnostic, which means that content providers have the flexibility to decide how best to manage their own content and networks.

Other partners in the Velocity programme include US-based Limelight Networks, a leading content delivery network (CDN) for digital media and AsiaSoft Online, the South East Asian publisher of numerous massively multiplayer online games including the popular Maple Story.

Said Mr Lim, "This partnership reinforces our reputation for competitive pricing, quality connectivity and comprehensive yet innovative solutions to online content partners looking to operate with greater efficiency in South East Asia. With this partnership, we are confident that more content and applications providers will look towards StarHub as the premier choice for these solutions."
