StarHub adds more flexibility with HubStation FlexiWatch
Singapore, 9 October 2007 – StarHub today announced the launch of HubStation FlexiWatch, a new prepaid cable TV service that allows non-cable TV customers to subscribe to an exciting line-up of channels and pay only for the duration for which they wish to enjoy the channels.
Mr Patrick Lim, StarHub’s Vice President for Cable TV Services said, "StarHub is committed to enhancing our services to meet the needs of local consumers. We understand the lifestyle and needs of individuals, such as frequent travellers and busy working adults, who wish to enjoy cable TV programmes without a post-paid package. HubStation FlexiWatch provides them with the flexibility and choice to choose the channels they want to watch and pay only for what they watch. "
Available from 10 October 2007, customers can receive the service via HubStation, priced at $560 ($599.20 with GST) without a post-paid cable TV subscription plan. They can choose from seven FlexiWatch channels including popular Chinese movies and drama channels such as Celestial Movies, STAR CHINESE MOVIES and VV Drama. The charges range from $3 to $5 ($3.21 to $5.35 with GST) per channel per day. With the subscription of FlexiWatch channels, customers will be able to enjoy up to six Basic Groups at no additional cost. "Besides giving our customers flexibility and choice, StarHub also gives great value for money. Customers who subscribe to one FlexiWatch channel will be able to enjoy three Basic Groups at no additional cost," said Mr Lim.
To purchase the FlexiWatch channels, customers can call 1633 or simply make the purchase via the HubStation TV Portal. They would need to select the duration of subscription and the channels they wish to purchase, before providing their credit card details for payment. Customers may purchase from a minimum of three consecutive days, to a maximum of 30 consecutive days.
All new HubStation FlexiWatch customers will be able to enjoy a free week-long viewing for one FlexiWatch channel and three Basic Groups of their choice. The free viewing will be activated separately for each customer, upon registration of customer’s details.
