StarHub Unearths The Power Of The Past And Unlocks The Mysteries Behind Crime Stories With Two New Channels
Dedicated to true crime, investigation and mystery, Crime & Investigation Network™ unravels the real stories behind the world’s most fascinating crimes
Singapore , 1 June 2007 – TV viewers in Singaporewill soon be able to witness the power and passion of history being brought to life, and get an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at criminal investigations via two brand new channels – The History Channel® and Crime & Investigation Network™ – that will debut exclusively on StarHub’s cable TV platform on 15 June 2007 at 7pm.
The History Channel (Channel 8) will be offered on StarHub Digital Cable’s Education Basic Group. The Education Basic Group is one of the most popular Groups on StarHub Digital Cable’s subscription plan, and is power-packed with other award-winning, international documentary and lifestyle channels such as Animal Planet, Discovery Channel, Discovery Travel and Living, and NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC CHANNEL. Subscribers of the Group with a digital set-top box, Digital Video Recorder or High Definition set-top box will be able to tune in to The History Channel.
Crime & Investigation Network (Channel 78) will be offered on StarHub Digital Cable’s ‘Family Plus’ tier. The addition of Crime & Investigation Network will make the tier a richer package for families, as it will now comprise 22 channels from a multitude of programme genres. At S$12 (before GST) monthly, it is also the most attractively priced tier among StarHub’s cable TV subscription offerings.
Both channels are operated by AETN All Asia Networks Pte. Ltd. (AAAN). Headquartered in Singapore, AAAN has just commenced operations to launch and operate branded channels and services across Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
